Anyway I actually dont believe Muslims follow the same G-d as we do, their G-d teaches hatred and religious intolerance, while HaShem is all loving and forgiving. Whether or not they are B'nei Noach is different, of that Im not sure...

Islam runs as front contender for the antichrist religion of the end times. They hold a death oath for Jews and Christians. Their religion is militant with the mission of world domination through Jihad (holy war). These are not the doctrines of one who really know the Holy one.

If I hear a simple statement of truth regarding not asking my friends to pray for me then I will stop asking my friends in Heaven to pray for me. Until then it will be a deeply held belief.

I have a problem with people who try to kill me and it has not really diminished much in the ensuing years.

editing: Actually, I should clarify -- I wasn't really directing this comment at you personally DOF as much as directing my comment to Hix about a more generalized problem of paganistic beliefs in what I refer to as "gentilized christianity".

I apologize for going off-topic once again (Grrrr... I am SO bad about that folks!) I often see us all here as a bunch of buddies, grabbing whatever we're drinking and sitting down to chat... and sometimes i forget netiquette and ramble.

That said ( ) I do have some questions for DefensOrFidei:

Are you saying that you see Mary and the "Saints" as simply interceding for you as your human friends might intercede for you when you ask for prayer?

Would you say that those who have died and are in Heaven according to the Catholic Church have more influence in their intercession on your behalf than, say, godly friends/parents/family here on earth who pray for you?

Does Mary have no more "pull" when she "intercedes" for you than say, I would, if I were to intercede for you? And do the prayers of any/all of the other "Saints" in Heaven have equal "weight"/influence/"pull" as Mary's direct intercession would?
