There are so many wonderful things about being a parent I don't know anyone that can name just one.

One of the best things to this day is how excited she is to see me when I get home from work. Even though she is 10 now, she still is always excited when I get home.

yeah, those first kicks, the ultrasound, the first cuddle when they're still gooey!, and it keeps happening over and over. Just when I'm annoyed at my 3 y/old's antics, I fall in love with her all over again. Just when I'm exhausted from my son's screaming, I get lost in his eyes...

Oo, I like that 'falling in love with your child'.

I have a ton of best things so I'll start with one for now so I don't bore you to tears...lol

I spent all my childhood and young adulthood in a critical spirit, always upset/complaining and ungrateful.

So for me, one of the best things about being a parent is being able to experience true and deep Gratitude. Each day I wake up with a song of joy in my heart, thanking God for the amazing blessing He gave to me when He gave me my son. Also, my complaining and critical spirit has melted away to reveal a Merciful spirit underneath it all.

Yea, that's one of the best things besides of course baby smells, innocent natures, unconditional love that one's child has toward his parents and and and.....hehe

You are right there are so many big things it is hard to name one.

I know I love just hearing Taylor breathe and have since she was a little baby. Knowing I was blessed vessel used to bring her in this world.

Seeing all their first and marveling with them at all kinds of little things.

Burying your nose in their hair while they are sleeping and just inhale their essence. They are so sweet and uncorrupt. I wonder how we can get back to that point as adults.

I love seeing the world through his eyes. The world has become a new and strange place to me.

What else, being inspired. It is because of him that I am actively pursuing my dream of writing for children.
