What is the best MP3 player I can buy?

My Sansa clip 2 GB ran out of space so I am looking for a new MP3 player. However I do not want to get an iPOD because iPODs allow you to connect to the internet and there might be the temptation to view pornography. So does anyone know of an MP3 player that has more space but not an iPOD? So far I think I might get the Sansa Clip 8 GB but that is the biggest size they have and I think it would be nicer to find like a 16 GB size.

iPod shuffle might be a good alternative--I bought a Sony MP3 player a couple years ago and it wouldn't play much of my iTunes library with a bunch hassle changes YMMV.

iPod Shuffle or Nano. Both are pretty basic and don't have Internet. My wife has had one of each and loved them. I get her a Nano for her birthday last year. It can get radio stations!

I have an Electrohome (Yeah, they are still in business) 8GB model with a 2 3/4 inch screen which in Canada cost less than $40 C.funds, it has a micro SD slot rated up to 32 GB. It has a fuller and more distinct and clear playback sound than the Sony models I tried, as well as having video playback, voice recording, a 3mega-pixel camera, and will allow a person to read "txt" files, along with viewing photos.
I'm happy with it, though there are probably better units out there, the only things it's missing is a phone.

I'm a little confused. One of you said the IPOD nano does not have internet access but I looked on apple's website and they say IPOD nano can listen to podcasts which might be part of the internet.

Podcasts are downloaded like music.

Well if you have a android/windows or iphone mobile phone then I would stick a big memory card in that and play your songs via your phone as it saves carrying a phone and an mp3 player around. Also mobile phones have the ability to play back lossless formats such as FLAC.

what about the ipod nano.. it doesn't let you use the net.. its 149.00 and it is 16 gig..
