The best game I ever had was waaaay back in the 80's for my commodore 64; Adventure Construction Set from Electronic Arts. It was awesome! You could either go through one of the pre-designed adventures that came with the software, or you could have the computer generate a random scenario, OR you could design your own adventure, from drawing the artwork and assigning the soundwork to creating the objects and creatures that you might hope to encounter. It simply unleashed the imagination, and for me, that was amazing...

As for me, I absolutely love the Myst games.

To be unoriginal, I have to say The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, along with the other Legend of Zelda games. I'm obsessed. I realized that the other day. Kind of scary, but it's the truth...

And why in the world has nobody mentioned Pac-Man?!? That is the most intense game ever!

Try TIME COMMANDO for Windows 95, its a brilliant historical tale.
I would also add Street Fighter to the list, an international mega hit!!!
The legend of Shinobi is equally brilliant!

Also, Actua Soccer is brilliant, but this is mainly for a British audience.

One can't beat Half Life for sheer originality! That game actually managed to creep me out the first time I played it! It was like being in a horror film! :D

I really can't decide what game I like. I believe that you'll always have to go back to the basics.

You always have to go back to the games you grew up with...

Have Fun!!!
Spin the Bottle, hands down.

OHHHH, you meant VIDEO games...hmmm...For sheer enjoyment at the time, I'd have to say Baldur's Gate...or System Shock 2...yeah, SS2 was definately it...well, I DID really like Halflife. 3-way tie, with SS2 being the absolute scariest game I've ever played.

I was in the bank cashing my paycheck soon after I started playing SS2 and I actually jumped when I saw the surveillance camera. Lucky I didn't have a gun on me. LOL

Someone else who has played Medieval:Total War?

Do you hate the papacy too? :p

I usually choose to play as Byzantines or Russian. Sometimes I feel sorry for the Byzantines who have to withstand crusades, jihads, and the Mongol invasion. But as Byzantines, I try to crush both the Turks and Egyptians early (and reinstate the Patriarchates).

On the other hand, when playing Spanish, I like launching crusades against the Almohads. Sometimes I get extra money from the papacy.
