I'd have to say the best video games I've ever played are:

Super Metroid
Final Fantasy Six
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Smash Bros Melee
Deus Ex (this one gets it for best plot)
Halo
Star Craft

I'll play anybody at any 2D fighter made by a Japanese company. Not saying I'll definitely win, but I can give most players a run for their money.

The only game i've consistent returned to in it's many forms is the amazing Championship Manager.

Currently doing very well in the latest outing.

Hm....I keep playing Front mission 3 for the PS1 even though I have beaten it many times...its just the shear variety of things you can do with your characters in it. Definiety Final fantasy 7 and 8 endless fun there.
Tetris for ever is that game addictive or what

Ico ~ A finominal game in all aspects.
Syberia ~ This is a game with great character, sort of like an artsy film.
Grim Fandango ~ An unforgetable adventure that was sadly missed by most.
Twisted Metal: Black ~ The quintessentual car combat game with intreaging characters.

Okay, I realize those are pretty new games, but I'm young....

Counter-Strike has been around for what? A couple of years? Hardly a "test of time," IMHO.

Street Fighter 2X (Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo in the US) has been around for at least twice as long as CS, and it's still going strong.
In fact, it's a prominent game at Super Battle Opera (major Japanese tournament series) and at the US's own Evolution series tournaments.
And at like every other major tournament.

Yep, you can pilot a bomber, drive a tank, fly off a cliff while driving insanely all over the map with a jeep, man the artillery, command a sub or a destroyer, or go on foot to plant mines or pick of enemies with your sniper rifle.
In summary all you do in this game is BLOW JUNK UP!!! Muahaha!

Or was it Duke Nukem 3D for me? While DooM set the standard, Duke was just sooo funny with excellent weapons and the easiest Mod tools ever all built in.

Counter Strike is about 5 years old now isn't it? Been around for ages that is for sure. Very good game and while I have sworn never to play it again it is tempting to re-install.

Best try BF1942 next from the sounds of things.

UT2004 demo looking good. Be interesting to see what mods come out for that. Lets face it, the Half Life Engine is toooooo dated. It's time to match game play with graphics.

Just because this is a Christian forums, I'm going to throw out this game for good humor:

EVO (standing for evolution). Anyone ever play that one? You start out as a fish, and you become and amphibian, then a dinosaur, then a mammal (and I'm not sure what happens after that, as I have never beaten it). You eat stuff for health and to become stronger.
