Well, you are MORE than welcome to share with us and be with us Actress. We have kangaroos all around the place here. They are often killed by the trucks. Our trucks are massive in Australia. Around here though, they can do alot of damage to a car is we happen to hit one. So, many vehicles have a roo bar on the front of their car. I didn't klnow about the roo's as Masot though. {Sydney Airport} Didn't see any on my last arrival. Often we have to let koala's cross on the roads too Actress, and wombats. Here, it's tortoises.
Which reminds me! I have a gold kangaroo brooch I have to send to a friend overseas too!

My problem is ducks, they come looking for water in the park next to our house. Often you will see mummy and a few ducklies crossing the road. They make the traffic come to a halt.

Had a friend once run into a emu driving across from perth to adelaide, just as much damage to the car as a roo.

Oh how lovely for Josh and Lachie elm! I had ducks here once. But, now I have the lambs. Yes, an emu can cause alot damage. The impact of these animals gives one a shock. I haven't hit any *touch wood* but, where I live, the "KANGAROOS" signs are prominent. And you can see them watching you in the paddocks as the car glides by.
If a mother with a joey is killed, we bring the joey home & rear it.

They were planning to kull the koalas....can we adopt them instead, I'm sure my dog needs a new cuddly friend right now.....
They aren't planning on kulling them, there is a number of areas in Australia where they are breeding a little to well, so they are looking at a female contreception for them. Similar to the human one which is a implant in the arm, and lasts 3 yrs. In a koala though it is also a implant, but it will last around 5yrs. It can also be taken out at anytime, if they need them to breed again.

I think our koala's are a protected species aren't they? I had one living in the tree next to the house in Q.L.D. He'd sit there & watch us & eat all day. Then he, or she, would go walkabout and come back later.
I think is anyone kills a koala there is a massive fine. Oops lil! I'll bet both the kanga & you stared into space for awhile! I've been very fortunate so far as far as the roo's go as they are intense around here at present. Once they start culling somewhere, the greenies bring them down here in truckloads & let them go. Can't blame them. They have a right to live too!
