Where in the Bible does it ever say to read it? I believe the proper phrasing was 'meditate on it daily', meaning think about it (course, in order to think about it, you need to know it, and in order to know it, you do at some point have to read it). But reading the Bible daily is not something the Bible says to do.read the Bible

You say that believing in Jesus and repenting your sins is a gift not an obligation. While I cannot say anything about repenting sins I can say that believing in Jesus is an obligation, at least for me, because of HOW I am asked to believe, namely without proof.
