  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

First off, let me apologize as this topic has prolly been beaten into the ground with a stick...but....
What does love mean to you?
To me Love is the feeling that you get that makes you smile when you see the one you love.
Love is knowing that there is someone who cares for you.
Its knowing that there is someone that will always be there for you.
Its having that special someone in Christ.
Love is a wonderful feeling.....
So please let me know what love is to you and i will prolly think of more what love is to me in the future...but thanks
God Bless Us All!!:amen:

Love is a choice..you are choosing to love someone no matter what..in good times and bad..sickness and health..all the stuff said in wedding vows...to me its putting their needs wishes and desires above yours..wanting to be with them, feeling as though experiences just wouldnt be the same without them..its not loving a perfect person, its seeing an unperfect person perfectly

Be very careful about seeing love as a feeling! There are strong feelings associated with love, but love is not a feeling. I know what you are talking about, but please be careful about associating true love with the feeling of being in love. They are very different!

It is a choice that one has. It is a gift that God has given each person rather the person is with God (saved) or without. God has given that person the right to choice who and what they want to love.

And the best answer from God is "1 Corinthians 13".

But love goes beyond just the emotion one feels or the sacrificing one will do for that person. Its life itself one gives to another.

The one and only answer to this is

1Co 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

1Co 13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

1Co 13:6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

1Co 13:7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1Co 13:8 Love never fails......

and......
1Jn 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

I was looking for those verses as they should apply to our lives.
