Why do men find it so hard to say I love you?

Also, why don't men want to get married?

I think that the phrase "I love you" is used way too much. The phrase means way more than "I realy like you" but many people use it like that.
I also don't want to tell a girl "I love you" and then a month from now break up with her. That would be playing with her feelings and playing with mine also.
For me, it is a very powerful phrase and not to be used lightly.
I don't know if I'm making sence or just repeating the same over and over again, but when I say it, I want to mean it... and I still haven't found that girl to tell it to.

And as fr geting married... I want to get married as soon as possible, but at the same time it scares me. I want to be completely and totaly sure that the girl I marry is the girl that God has for me and the girl that will be with me until one of us dies.

I can't help but tell my wife I love her. Sometimes I have to call her cell phone just to tell her that for no particular reason.

I know why I don't like to say I love you. It burns bridges. If you think there's a chance that this girl is not the one I am going to spend the rest of my life with, I will need to get back across that bridge some day!

That reminds me of something sweet!

A friend was recently proposed to by her boyfriend (naturally) and this is how he did it:

He turned to I Cor 13 and started reading it to her. When he got to verse 4 he substituted her name for Love (or Charity). When he finished reading he asked for her hand in marriage. I thought it was beautiful after hearing about it.
