From your perspective, what is the "world view" of an atheist?

I've heard many different ones. Since I'm not an atheist, I don't feel it's my place to tell atheists their world view. If you have one you want to suggest for the sake of the discussion, I'm fine with that.

But you said atheists would want to support their worldview as a historian, correct?

Also, it depends on how one defines "worldview" and what this encompasses.

IMO, many Christians belief (or like to believe) that a non-belief in a God, somehow brings about a completely different worldview than Christians, in things, other than believing in a deity. Not so sure that is the case.

It would be an understandable thing to do, yes.

Do historical facts include motivations, in your opinion?

Of course. But it most likely is not what the history books suggested.
Even a historical fact just happened 100 years ago, we will not know the real motivations behind it.

Yes generally, because history is about trying to figure out the truth of what happened in the past.
