CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That's a hard one - they are all so different!
The Simpsons have had some really good episodes, but others (some of the later ones) have been a little off.
Futurama is quite good but not always laugh-out-loud funny.
Family Guy is good but very very random - it'll do random and weird things to get laughs. So if you like that type of stuff (think Jim Carrey) then you'll think Family Guy is the best.
However, at the moment I love American Dad. It's funny, but it's also aimed at an older audience with it's jokes. I think it's the funniest.
But it all depends on the episode.

I said Futurama, cause it is a classic! Simpsons has been dumb for awhile. Family Guy can be dumb to. American Dad is funny sometimes, but those concepts are getting beaten to death right now.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
A little off? Its downright horrible now. They should have cancelled it at least 7 years ago. It jumped the shark with "Who shot Mr. Burns?" 12 years ago, but was still good until the late 90's.
And I think thats a good thing, I prefer snickering humor to the "*bashes you over the head with a silly gag-a-minute*laugh goll darn it!!" style of the newer Simsons and Family Guy. I think its funnier becasue it doesn't seem like they are trying too hard. the characters and situations seem naturally funny, they don't scream "schtick and/or forced gag" like the other shows.
Thats why I hate the newer episodes. Where did people get the idea "random" was funny? Did Aqua Teen Hunger Force fry everyone's brain?
I think its just Family Guy MkII, but thats a good thing as its more like the older episodes. But it is simply inferior to Futurama. A big problem is the uninteresting characters, which was/is also a problem with Family Guy.
In that case, the simpons win for the "Beer Baron" episode.

Clearly you don't read a whole lot into the charater development of Family Guy. I love just about each and every character on that show! Each has their own personality and funny element to them.Blackguard_ said:

I chose The Simpsons because it's a classic! Most of the episodes from the other three shows are mostly forgettable for me, but some episodes from The Simpsons will remain with me for a long time.
I agree, particularly The Simpsons and Family Guy.
It's not just because it came first JeremiahDaBomb, it's because of the structure of the shows and the families and characters in them. I think The Simpsons and Family Guy are both quite similar in structure.
