DInsight has the insight on the anointing thats for sure.
Finally I agree with you DInsight, good job.
He wrote so much that I agree with that I can't post it all.
If Jesus lives in our heart by faith then that is where the anointing lives too. If you greve the Holy Spirit ...
Jesus is still with you, but you will lose the fire of the anointing.
I've seen this and surely you have too with new born again Christians who go back to their old sins.
I believe in the baptism in water for the comittment and the baptism of the Holy Spirit for the gifts.
The gifts and calling of God scripture in Romans 11:29 could be used if I wanted to, but I prefer to think St Paul was talking about the Jews in the Book of Romans chapter 11 even though many agree that it is for today's Christians too.

Romans 11:26-29
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers sakes. 29 for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
