We shall bid you adieu, Echo. It has been a source of pleasure speaking with you.

I will accept no explanation of any way of God that involves what I should scorn as false and unfair in a man. If it is said, 'It may be right of God to do something that it would not be right of man to do,' I answer, 'Yes, because more is required of God--not less.' God can have no duty that is not both just and merciful. More and higher justice and righteousness is required of Him by Himself, the Truth--greater nobleness, more penetrating sympathy, and nothing but what, if an honest man understood it, he would say was right. -George MacDonald-

In answer to question 1. Damnation is not what Echo has posted, but rather, a decree by the Father of all fathers, and the condemnation of wrong expressed in different degrees of sentence and decision from severe to mild.

Dr. Vine leads his readership to condemnation, judge, destruction, and judgement as the word for damnation.

All damnation ranges from severe to mild, and is expressed in the terms of "greater damnation" in the Scripture, beginning with the household of God, and extending to the whole fallen creation.

[move]Jesus said, You cannot come to Me unless the Father makes you want to come.[/move]

We pursue God because, and only because He has first put an urge within us that spurs us on to the pursuit...'No man can come to Me, except the Father...draw him.' This prevenient drawing takes from us every vestige of credit for the act of coming. -A.W. Tozer-
