Nervous about my father getting the coronavirus vaccine. He has a health condition where his immune system is pretty much dead.. so any little illness can be a big deal for him. Although I've read the reactions to the vaccines are because of a hyper active immune system (mostly in younger people).. I hope this is the case.

It is finally raining here. It hasn't rained in a month or so. The grass crunches under the foot. That is not unusual for August, but it is for May.

Been raining here all week. At least I got a chance to see if my car would detect rain and use the windshield wipers automatically as the manual said it can..

Thus far.. it's failed.. lol.

We don't have public holidays in May. I think the next one to look forward to is the Queen's birthday in June.
We did Victoria's birthday last weekend. Only commonwealth country to do so. Old traditions die hard.

On a new car? That shouldn't be.

Yeah.. I probably just have to turn the setting on. The lights come on by itself.. although a little less liberal than I'd like. Besides that though.. it is a joy to drive.. all I have to do is press a button and pretty much everything else besides steering and using the brake and gas peddle is automatic. Even then it will do some steering for you such as parking. Although I don't trust the technology enough to try that.. lol.

Well, that, and why would you want to lose a public holiday?

I awoke feeling really grateful to hear the rain this morning. I'm thinking this feeling of relief after some extreme events is going to become the norm. It just seems to be all the time, like we're always waiting for the resolution of the wholly unexpected, lol. Is that pessimistic or realistic? I don't know.

The great reset?

Well, the great reset would be part of a response to it, I guess.

I meant more that many of us, and our society as a whole, have experienced a degree of trauma over the last year or so.
