Well to me a testimony is a sharing of something that impacted and or changed your life for the better.
Here at CF it is a sharing of how you came to know God and or accept Jesus Christ as Savior and the ways it changed your life....;o)

A testimony is when you share your love for God by telling how you have encountered Him and what He has done. It can be long or short...a conversion experience...or just something which happened. What ever it is...you boast about God and let His action be the focus although this will include what happened to you as a result of that action and what actions you may have taken.
Sometimes it involves a process...so you might be sharing various steps rather than a one time thing. And sometimes it means sharing the results of God's love in your life.
If you were giving a testimony for a beloved relative or friend...it is like that. In giving it for a friend...you give them tribute. So you give tribute to God in a testimony giving credit where credit is due. Hope this helps a little.

A testimony can be a range of things, but is normally centered around what God has done in your life. This can be how he's changed you, how he's answered your prayers, or how he's just generally made your life amazing! It can also be how you came to faith, or how your faith deepened dramatically - the first time you fell to the floor by the power of the Holy Spirit, first time Jesus really spoke to you directly etc.
