What is a Spaghetti Western?

I think Jamiec was just trying to make a point as most of the spaghetti westerns featured Clint Eastwood, Unforgiven was a great movie by the way.

A "spaghetti" western is a western produced in Italy.

Italy cranked out a lot of westerns for Italian consumption that never made it big in the US. And the US cranked out a lot of westerns that could not be considered "spaghetti" westerns because they were not produced in Italy.

"Paint Your Wagon" and "Two Mules for Sister Sara," for instance, both starred Clint Eastwood and were not "spaghetti" westerns.

Check out the clip I posted in post #17. That's one thing I loved about that film. Everyone's so dirty, dusty, ragged. Great costumes. Everything's mostly brown. Similar to how when Monty Python portrayed Medieval Europe - everything's mostly grey, and everything's muddy. Same idea, but I guess Europe gets more rain than the American West.

That's the movies in general. The hero shoots up 15 bad guys all armed with submachine guns against his six piece, kicks 25 martial arts experts over the side of a 15 story building and drives a car under five trucks, down the stairs in San Francisco, and gets out just before it explodes.

I was getting a haircut once by a barber in a suburb called Coorparoo. He said he previously owned a barber shop in George Street, Brisbane, which is where the state politicians and public servants hang out.

He said a lot of the politicians used to drop in once a week to get a trim for public appearance's sake.

With the hair I've got these days, it would only take him about two minutes. I've got the same hair style as your average emoji.
