What is a sound mind?

What is a sound mind? Does it mean that we will always have sound judgment? Note 2 Corinthians chapter 5 below. It doesn't sound like the apostles always had sound judgment. But they must have been aware of it and waited on God to restore their soul and renew a right spirit in them, like David did. In my opinion.

But notice the word "Therefore" in verse 8. Isn't Paul saying not to fear preaching and not to fear suffering along with Paul? This has nothing to do with fear of other kinds necessarily. We can experience fear and that's OK. We grow in it and learn to trust the Lord. In my opinion.

2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

2 Corinthians 5:13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.

I agree. My mind is broken but the word of God is my new mind. It guides me in paths of righteousness and faith. I love the word. If I had a Bible I would hug it, but I use a Bible app.

I dont live by terror but faith. However I do have times that I fear. It could be an anxiety attack but I don't really know. But am I living in fear? No, I'm here proclaiming how good the Lord is to me.

It's interesting to note that Paul said that the apostles knew the terror of the Lord. Does this mean that they felt terror? or that they just knew that God's wrath was coming on people? I dunno.

I have seen power. God freed me from my sin. I didn't know how to escape it so I tried to manage it best I could. I lost all hope because I saw no God in myself because of my sin. I prayed that God free me from my bondage so that I would know that he didn't abandon me like people do. He answered that prayer. Now i love God. My body is a fit temple.
