CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

She fled to America and is still there. She was a member of an Intelligence agency or some such.
The young man she killed remains dead.

Almost - she was the wife of a US Intelligence officer based in London. She fled to the US after the accident where the US Administration gave her diplomatic immunity.
She was eventually talked into allowing herself to be tried by a British Court but attended the trial via video from the US. She admitted culpability and was given an 8-month suspended sentence, reduced from the maximum of 5 years, based on her guilty plea and previous good character.

Bleeding hearts out of ignorance, don't want Capitol punishment. God wants the murderer or rapist put to death. So He can judge the person. Kidnapping is another one. Those who commit capital crimes, are to be put to death. It's God's law.

My view does not come from ignorance. Capital punishment has been abolished in every advanced country including most of the USA. Every country that has got rid of the death sentence has its reasons.
In the UK it was abolished sixty years ago. One reason was that juries became ever more reluctant to convict murderers in the knowledge that their verdict guaranteed it. There is no pressure to bring it back.
