I think that a Christian is a person who is trying to follow Christ's teachings as they understand them. :)

You too have now just violated the rules of this forum by defining what constitutes a Christian ('one who follows Christ')?!

The staff sets the definition of a Christian for the purposes of this site as someone who agrees with the creed. It isn't flaming for the staff to tell someone, privately, that they don't fit the board's definition. If this rule didn't exist I guarantee you we'd have a plague of "You're not a Christian" posts. Everyone would think THEY saw the "wolf in the herd" when really it is just someone who has a different opinion.
Very true... which is why the definition of a Christian at CF should be alot more specific to SET A STANDARD.
Instead, they leave the members to fend for themselves betwn stuff that's CLEARLY defined in the Bible (which I won't elaborate on in detail here).

It COULD be curbed, it just isn't - for whatever reasons they have. I can't judge their motive, only the results of the lack of specificity that I think they should get into to join as a "Christian".
Since one is faulty, the rule about not being able to claim someone isn't Christian is essentially tying our hands.

This board isn't about the members deciding who a Christian is and then the majority dictating that to the others. [/quote]
IT'S TURNED INTO THAT becuz the rules aren't specific enough to define it FOR THEM properly.
Instead, it's all inclusive except for some seriously unorthodox doctrines.
It is a place for Christians of all backgrounds and points of view to communicate.
I'd point out that the term "Christian" should be used loosely here.
