CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm not sure why mine is so fast, I have noticed that when using other peoples computers that they only get around 1500kbps from their cable company, the only thing I can think of is that I'm only 5 mile from the cable company and they have a booster out on the telephone pole up the street *shrugs* It's actually a disappointment using other peoples computers because my connection is sooooo much faster than theirs, and that's with 3 computers connected and using the internet at the same time.....Janine said:Wow. Well, I use Dial-up, and to make that worse I use AOL. Trust me, i know better, but unfortunately my mom loves it and pays for it, so i don't have much choice. as to high-speed internet, I live too far out in the country for anything but satellite, and that is wwwaaayyyy to expensive(BTW, if you know of a good company where i could get a cheap dish, let me know in PM). DSL doesn't look like it will be available for quite a while either. thats my life

Yup, I hate AOL...the only thing of AOL's that I use is IM. We have alltel internet and bellsouth and AT&T...see we had to move 3 times this year and all times we had to get a new internet plain. But soon we will have alltel and AT&t.

hehe, I've been thinking about switching over to Alltel for DSL, it's 34.95 a month compared to 48.95 a month for cable internet through Adelphia......but then again, my cable connection is faster than the DSL providers here (Alltel & Verizon)......Jesus-is-the-best said:
