I was looking for something short and easy to remember. And I wanted something different from my email. So, on my son's desk there was a DVD of Nacho Libre. Libre means free or liberty in Spanish, and that's sorta my basic message - He whom the Son has set free is free indeed. So I became Libre on most forums.

My nickname was given me 25 years ago at Cal State Fullerton, when the computer terminals had just made the punchcard computers obsolete ... but if you ran a program in the system with too much spaghetti logic, or tied up all the servers on one terminal, all of them would crash. As a freshman taking computer programming classes, that's what I tended to do ... and when the system crashed, every terminal linked to that system would say ...

System down due to memory overload.

...and thus it was that whenever I walked into the computer lab, all the lab managers would say "System Down!"​

No, it has NOTHING to do with "System of a Down" ... I'm fairly sure they stole their name from me!!!​

My nickname was given to me when I was around 11 or twelve. dad use to try and pretend to act all cool and hip and stuff, so like whenever he talked to me he would be like "So what's going on Adog?". That was the way I use to spell it. Fast forward some years, a few grammar changes latter and viola Adawg. Oh and 23 is one of the five numbers off of Lost.

I have to credit Amx with my name. When we were "just friends" in high school, she could pick me out of the marching band, because of a certain body feature. (I'm sitting on it at this time.) I took on the lepine nickname as an acceptance of her affections. A few years after we married, she hated carrying a purse, and would hand me her wallet to carry. Since I like wearing cargos and like jackets with pockets, she referred to me as her "Bunny-Roo". (Yeah, only flyers have pockets, but she doesn't care.) The name Bunnaroo grew from that.

"cslr" is short for "counselor" & my last name is Williams.
Specifically--I am a substance abuse counselor--which entails dealing with self-esteem problems, stress management problems, anger issues, grief issues--lots of different things including relapse prevention work--which is one reason I love doing what I do.
BTW--my first name is Rich.

For me, Gramaic is a combination of two words. I'm very interested and curious about the Greek and Aramaic languages, so I used Greek and Aramaic to form my screen name, which is currently Gramaic.

Hey y'all,

My name is Ann but my dearest friends call me Annie, and I have always had one speed. Until a couple of years ago it was wide-open-full-tilt-boogie. There weren't enough hours in the day to do everything I had on my list.

Then I was in an automobile accident. Since then I still have one speed, but my full-tilt-boogie days are over. I guess God thought it was time for me to slow down. I still get things done though - the important things.
