CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would be blessed beyond measure. How good it would feel to help so many in need. I have had challenges financially in life so I have a heart for local charities. There are so many in need in our own backyards!

I would have an enormous library with wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling stained wood bookcases, with the very best reference books and the very best literature. And it would have a fire place and cozy chairs, couches, and a nook by the big window. And there would be a secret passage behind one of the book case. Because what would an awesome library be without a secret passage?!!!!

Hmm well there are lots of biblical characters but truthfully I feel pretty intimidated because they've done such great things through such great trials. So… I'm going to pick Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftebury. I really respect all the work he has done and for standing up for people who couldn't stand up for themselves. I really respect that.

Oooooh, good question............ I would fight to put biblical teachings back into all the education programs of America---and win. Then all the people who eventually came into political power would have been educated to realize that America needs God if she is to continue to be great.
