What if every time we needed God we were required to pay money? Some of us pray to God daily and sometimes depending on our circumstances we need him a couple of times a day. This question came up and I just wanted to see what others thought.

Um... well... that'd be stupid. I mean, anyone can say a prayer at any time. There's no need to pay money. Now, if we are talking about tithing, that's a whole different and complicated issue which can deal with the church building, parishioners, and other things.

But in terms of needing God and having to pay money, that's not the case, so there's really no reason to worry about it. haha not to derail this thread, but it's like when atheists say, "Well, what if Christ didn't die?" haha well the point is is that it happened, so there's no point in worrying about the "what if's"

*shrugs* just this proud persons opinion

I would be very very poor.

Glory To God! God loves us so much and at times we are blinded but, his love helps us to see. I will do a better job loving people like Christ Jesus did. All The Glory Will Forever Belong To God!

LOL,Ill be like Lord, can you front me a couple of prayers.LOL
God would have so many IOU's.people will be paying with checks, then the checks would bounce.LOL.

Haha->There will be prayer machines like those candy machines, you could put a quarter in and start praying.LOL what would happen if the quarter got stuck?LOL

Then there would be price adjustmeant due to the length of prayer. And prayer bargins and discounts.LOL And then we will get the new prayer credit cards that we will be able to use.

Then there would not just be tax evasion problems, there would also be prayer evasion problems. To funny.:D

Isn't that exactly what some churches are teaching today. "Give to God and it shall be given to you, pressed down shaken together and running over?"

Give and you will get a 30,60 or 100 fold increase!

Seed faith giving? If you sow a seed God is obligated to give you a huge harvest on your money?

I do not need God a couple of times a day, I need Him 24 hours a day for as long as He is on His throne!

I certainly hope you are not saying we can buy God's blessings, or bribe God, or bargain with God based on our giving of money!!!

The Bible states that the lust for money is the root of all evil!

Every good gift from God comes at "No charge," and there is nothing you can do to earn it! He gives his children gifts because He loves us. Would you pay your parent for a gift that they have given to you? They would consider it an insult! A gift paid for is no gift at all! It is a purchase!

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish WITH THEE, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

In the Spirit we should *always* be praying to God and thinking of God.

In whatever we do. We should be at one with God.

And as for prayers for things such as money... we should believe and trust the words of Jesus which remind us *do not worry about such things*.

Worry is a negative belief... a belief in the wrong direction.

(This is different from being anxious for one's brothers and sisters, however, and to see the words of God fulfilled. After all, if free will is taken away and people are simply forced to change, then where do they feel any accomplishment? They should be allowed to make wrong decisions here and there so that they may learn from their mistakes and have freedom and privacy of choice.)
