Why did the star explode?

I am not an astronomer nor an astrophysicist. I only have a very basic understanding.

Here is an episode of How the Universe Works titled A Galaxy is Born. It looks like you can watch the entire episode (and all of the others) here. If not, I know it's on netflix too.

How The Universe Works : Videos : Discovery Channel

Also, Stephen Hawking's book, A Briefer History of Time explains stars and their explosions. I found that book tremendously helpful.

And who created the universe?

A "who" did not have to create it. A "what" could create it and we're just not entirely sure as this moment how that came about.

See Here
No one knows!
.
Here's some ideas though:
1. An eternal creator being created it.
2. The universe itself is eternal, contracting and expanding in a never ending cycle (although the contraction part looks improbable right now)
3. There are infinite universes giving rise to other universes, all in an eternally existing cosmos.
4. Our universe DID indeed just "pop out of nothing", despite bogus "proofs" that all appeal to fallible human "common sense".
5. Make something up! The conditions outside our universe are so unknown that you may as well do some pure speculation.

I would then say you are approaching the Truth... the One always in existence was and is God. :)

No, no supernatural or divine intervention required. Just everything compressed to a singularity of infinite temperature, density, and space-time.

How did it do that?

I posted a video but it's messing up the format of the thread. It didn't go into what I wanted anyway, so I will try to find something else.

That singularity of all these things was created by Him.

Of course someone from another religion would say it was their god who did that.

These have the same evidence as you do.

None. And thus shouldn't be believed.

An exploded star, as already stated. I guess the issue here is that when we go back far enough, some want to say "god did it" and others prefer " we dont yet know". The not yet knowing is the beginning, it is not the end of the search.

don't you agree that everything has a craetor/ maker?
who made/created the star and why did it explode?

this is what God says:

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
(21:30) Have not the people, who have disbelieved (the Message), ever considered this: the heavens and the earth were at first one mass; then We parted them, *28 and created every living thing from water? *29 Do they not acknowledge (that this is Our Creation) ?
*28) From the wording of the Text, it appears that at first the whole universe was a single mass of matter; then it was split into different parts and the earth and the other heavenly bodies were formed. For fuller details, please see Ha Mim (XLI):E.N.'s 13-15
*29) From the wording of the Text, it appears that Allah made water the cause and origin of life. See also An-Nur (XXIV): 45.

if stars have life cycles, humans, animals and plants also have life cycles , this means that everything has a begining and an end. who causes this?

what is your purpose of posting the photo of the veiled woman ?

if you are an athiest as shown , then you either do not know or reject why she is dressed this way.

Stars. Humans. Plants. If they have beginnings and ends.... WHY does that mean everything has a beginning and end?
