  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What if Osama should one day repent...

and profess his faith in Christ?

Will he, then be saved?
Will you call him your brother?
Will the Christians in USA welcome his convertion?

Will he, still pay for his crime by execution, for the lives he kill?
Or will you think it will be better to make him an evangelist,
to minister to his past comrades?

Will you forget and forgives what he done, and welcome him?

Will the Christians in USA welcome his convertion? Fake Christians, no. Real Christians, there probably would be.

Will you forget and forgives what he done, and welcome him? Forgive, yes. Welcome him, yes.

Any christian who does such a crime should be man enough to face the consequences of his action and without a fight. The only fight he should put up is to fight that others he knows comes to christ.

Nothing could possibly make me happier than if Osama bin Laden would repent and come to Christ for forgiveness!

I would rejoice and happily accept him as a Brother-in-Christ.

But remember that he has broken man's laws, not just God's laws, so he would probably face execution for his crimes, since in the US we still have the death penalty. I do not agree with or support the death penalty in anyway, and I'd love to see him be able to evangelize his followers, but governments don't usually have the mechanism to just forgive him for the terrible things he has done. There has to be justice, not only from God, but also for the international laws he broke and for the murders he committed.

The best that could be hoped for would be that the US suddenly understands that even Osama bin Laden's life is human, and humans are not disposable, even if they did something bad. Then OBL could evangelize from his prison cell.

Amen to every word of that, brother!
