Well, that brings me back to the same point. What if no one ever told you andthere was no possible way for you to even know the name Jesus Christ or the story of the gospel?Harlan Norris said:But I do believe that failier to acknowlege Jesus Christs supreme sacrifice for our sake, would result in one not being saved.
NeoGRizzly said:it would be hell. they look to see jesus a man they never met, they look at christians joyful about something they can't under stand. they are sad because they miss the live they had on earth that had notthing to do with where they are. it would be torcher to them. God would not put them through such a unjustified Everlasting heart ship .
jad123 said:This seems so simple but we make it so hard. Ever hear of the KISS technique? Keep It Simple Stupid. I am not calling any stupid, it is just a saying and one I try to follow. It has been laid out for us. God did not ask us to interpret His Word or to debate His Word. He has simply asked us to believe and to follow. Isn't that what faith is all about. Since accepting Christ do we not all have a wonderful story to tell? Scripture is clear and simple. Jesus is the way to the Father. Jesus died for us. Just because you live a so called good life does not mean you do not need Christ to enter. It is simple, it is clear. lets stop making this so hard.
Well, again I say that I don't know who is saved or why. I'm not privy to that information. However, there is no doubt in my mind that salvation through Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith. It is the reason for Christianity. So, if one does not believe that giving ones life to Jesus,is the requirement of salvation, then one is not a very good witness. If Jesus is just some guy that has a few relatively good ideas,no better than any other. Why follow him or anyone else? No, we follow Christ because salvation is offered through faith in him,and no other.ps139 said:Well, that brings me back to the same point. Is that still failure to acknowledge Christ? Can you fail at something if you were never given a chance to do it?

Did it ever ocurr to you that even if someone enters into heaven who did not know Christ, that it doesn't mean he didn't need Christ to be there?
jad123 said:Fine, let me reword. You must know Christ to enter Heaven. Again this is clear in scripture (Heb 2:10, 1 John 2:2-4, John 10:7-9, John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Scripture is clear, one must accept and know Jesus. We can speculate on everyone else but that is for God. Does God make exceptions. Not for me to decide. We can only hope He allows those who have never heard His word. But and a big but, if you choose to deny Christ then I think the scripture is clear. Acts 17:30 says God overlooks times of ignorance. Does that include today. I will leave that to him.
Peace and Love.
woobadooba said:What about little children who have died before they had the opportunity to get to know Jesus, or people who are mentally handicapped and can't comprehend the gospel, do you think they will be damned to hell?
As I had said before, no one can get into heaven without Jesus; yet, I am sure there will be some in heaven who never had the chance to get to know Him while they were on earth.
We will be judged according to the light that has been given to us.
ps139 said:You are right Lynn. It's simply not our place to make the call here. Not only do we not have the ability to know the salvation of everyone, we do not have the right to declare where people are going... that would be judging which Christ commands us not to do, in Luke 6.
