Before I get this question, I just want say that I really liked today's homily by parish priest, he was awesome! He actually went as far as to touch on contraception! Please pray that he keeps this up and keeps going in the right direction! I've also noticed that the Portuguese TradCats at my parish seem to be stepping up their game and putting more pressure on the parish to embrace the authentic Traditions of the Faith, let us hope and pray that, that is the case.

Now to my main question, I have been advancing in focusing on Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I've actually gotten to the point now where instead of getting angry at the irreverence, I'll instead tear-up and even choke-up at the lack of Love and Adoration in these masses. Today, at the end of the mass, they started playing an incredibly irreverent and immature song and I very choked-up over it and actually got to the point where I was afraid I was going to throw-up! I didn't throw-up thankfully, but I was especially worried that I would, because I had just received Communion, and that leads me to this main question, what would happen if one were to throw up the Holy Eucharist? How would one treat the vomit? And did the person still receive Jesus Christ, Truly Present in the Most Holy Sacrament?

Has something like this ever happen before?

Once the elements of communion are no longer physically recognizeable, they cease to be the body and blood of Jesus. So, for example, once you digest communion, it is no longer Jesus. So you don't end up "passing" Jesus into the commode. I would figure that once you have chewed and swallowed and it has reached the stomach acid in your stomach, it is no longer recognizeable and therefore, no longer communion. So you wouldn't need to do anything other than clean up the mess as normal.

I just thought of something, when I heard father give that excellent homily, I made a decision in a spur of the moment, to put extra money in the collection basket.

Was that Simony?

Were you giving for the purpose of attempting to buy grace? If not, no.

No, that's not simony. An example of simony would be if a billionaire were to try to buy political influence in the Vatican by offering bribes to high-ranking clerical officials there, or if he were to use his money to orchestrate a takeover of the Vatican for the same purpose seizing control of it.
