  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Christianity is the ONLY religion where we don't have to save ourselves. Every other religion has man trying to make himself so perfect...but with Christianity we are shown our imperfections through God's Law and brought to repentance. We are given faith to believe in Jesus' death on the cross in our place for the forgiveness of our sins so we may have eternal life. That's what makes our beliefs unique.

Seek God, from anywhere you are, and you will find Him. Bypass religion if it brings doubts. Religion won't save you, but God will. So just seek Him. He is not in books. He is everywhere and near you. He hears you. Speak to Him. Talk to Him as you would to any other who has ears to hear. Ask, and you shall receive. Ask Him to help you find Him and then invest your time in seeking. He will usually send materials your way that would help you on your way. All you need is a desire to find him and a sensitive heart, open to His guidance.

The reality is this: once you come across the right material (whatever He has in store for you), you will believe it, and this will be your path. You will get closer to God through this path and you will find Him there. No matter what path it is, be strong and hope in finding Him. He will give you His hand. It's like they say in those movies: you have whatever you need inside of you.
It's not about us knowing the right way. It's about blindly trusting that God who loves us won't forsake us and won't let us be lost. Develop this trust with Him and you will be better off than any who thinks they know it all...

There is nothing wrong with seeking an idea of God or gods, you have the freedom to do that and no one can tell you other wise. But what you have to know is simple, the Real God the real truth comes from knowing Jesus and only through Jesus, because only Jesus sent the Holy Spirit for us. Anything other than Jesus is just a human way to try and solve problems that only Jesus in Spirit can do. Many spend their whole life seeking an idea of it all, the meaning to life etc. What a waste of valuable and precious time, time you don't have.

Many waste time seeking this or that, but in the end, all you have done is wasted time. No one has the right to say we are right and he is wrong or we do this they do that, but we do have the right to point out error if we see it.

One thing I have learnt, you can speak to the cows come home, but if one does not want to hear the truth one will not hear the truth. It comes down to one simple thing, faith do we have or do we just have belief.

Only one offers a way out for man, that was Jesus. All other religions in the world just use fear to convince people, fear of this fear of that.....

The truth is not in the mind, its found in the heart. Only the heart can understand the Master Voice.

My warning here would be, be careful and think with the heart before you think with the head.

Blessings

Welcome to CF!

If you're question is did G-d speak to anyone outside of the Bible, the answer is clearly "YES." Here's the point:

1Corinthians 4:20 "For the kingdom of God [is] not in word, but in power."

Matthew 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

That is to say, G-d's Kingdom is within our reach! This is Good News indeed. Anywhere you can find it, reach out and grab it with both hands.

"against such there is no law." Galatians 5:23

Do you find anything else makes G-d's own power so accessible as the Bible, with it's Gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus?

Do you have a strong connection to the Gospel so that it brings the kingdom of heaven within your reach?

How long have you been a Christian?

I'm not completely sure, i'll agree with that, cuz, our faith uses fear too, like person who doesn't believes in Jesus, will suffer eternity in hell.

If we are looking inside the contest of bible, it might feel true, but, its all based on pure emotional feelings, nothing turns into logical..

I used to talk with god, I did a small experiment, I asked my friend write a word in envelope which i didn't see.. in prayer or sleep when i used to talk with god, I asked him, what's written in envelope, i never got answer, or i got wrong answer!! So, that mean, either that image is either not god, or my just hallucination!!

If one thinks critically, One can't really say, jesus is only way, unless one read other religious books on god.

I have watched a video on google video, history of god by karen amstrong, In that Perception of jesus is changed over time...

All i can say is, emotionally makes sense, Logically doesn't makes sense!!
