  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i have a prayer request:

I've been sick for the past week, and with a job interview, i want to be somewhat in a healthy state in order to show the interviewer that i care... it's been keeping me inside, and this interview has been on the back of my mind as well. I'm slightly concerned about it just because i don't know what to expect, so i ask for your prayers this week concerning these two situations

Asking, possibly even begging, for prayer for my friend who is on a mission trip (her name is Lindsay). I just got a letter from her that said her group is in a very dangerous area, and she isn't even able to talk about God publicly. They have to use code words with each other like calling Him their Dad and stuff like that. So I am hoping to get some prayer for safety for her group, and that they will find a way to minister to these people (for security reasons she can't even tell me where she is exactly right now) without being harmed. Thanks y'all
