What if evolution was proven false?

I believe his wife came out and said the story was false. She would have no reason to say so, unless it was actually false, as I believe she was a christian and didn't quite like evolution.

1) The Big Bang has nothing to do with life, other than that is where the laws of physics and all the stuff came from.

2) evolution has nothing to do with the big bang, heck, it doesn't even go as far back as abiogenesis, never mind the formation and explosion of several stars that it took to make all the heavy matter that we see today.

That's a good point JB - As best we can tell, life didn't show up on earth until arounda billion or so years after it had formed. THEN evolution could occur.

Could God be the creator of evolution?
Does the Bible leave room in the description of creation for evolution?
How do we know the age of the earth from the Bible, the chronologies that some use to date events, were incomplete chronologies, they were chronologies that showed important figures in their ancestory and therefor can't be used to date events.
I ran across an interesting read. Unfortunately I can't post it here because of the rules. I found a website about "doesgodexist" and there was an article about the Gods Revelation In His Rocks And In His Word that made a reasonable attemt to show that the Bible proves evolution and evolution is in line with the Bible.
A quick search and a post from an old member with the link would be great. It might clear up some things for some people. This guy does not promote any religion as far as I know.

I want to make it clear, I do not necessarily believe all that is in the previously posted article. This article is one mans argument and he has several others which are interesting reads. But he does attempt to prove that the two view points are not necessarily at odds to each other.

Although I seriously doubt that that will ever happen, it would be an interesting scientific discovery.

Science can change. That's what it's supposed to do. I don't think any good scientist would turn down -good- evidence that supports creationism. That would be hypocritical.

I believe that the Bible supplies us with sufficient documentation as to how the earth was created and how current mankind came to be. If you need more proof, try referring to "Panorama of Creation" by Carl E. Baugh, Ph.D. Dr. Baugh is the founder and director of Creation Evidences Museum in Glen Rose, TX. This is only one text, but there are many others available as well as websites on the internet.

Creation evidences museum? (director?) it is a tourist trap for holy rollers.
Have you ever been to Glen Rose, TX? It is the smallest hole in the wall tourist trap shack of a town I have ever seen. The deal with Glen Rose is that there are REAL dinosaur tracks in the river beds there. So to refute the dino tracks they built a "creation evidences museam" (You can tell how hick it is by the name...Creation Evidence-without the S would suffice for PLURAL evidence! It is never evidenceS

People go there to view these (like I did). Well this town also attracts another element...religious people who go to gawk and want to make the tracks go away or tell their children some nonsense...to try and make their Bible story work. The 20 people I met who lived in that little town probably had a COLLECTIVE IQ of 90. One woman told my husband and I that the Dinosaur tracks were the work of the devil to deceive

. She then added how she could not see Jesus allowing something like this. If anyone was a PhD. in their field and had ANYTHING on the ball they would not live in Glen Rose, Texas and that Museum is NOT a museaum. I do not want anyone reading this to be confused by the word "Museaum" and get a mental picture of The Prado or MoMA, New York City-NOT AT ALL. It is equal to a roadside place in the everglades where there would be a sign that says, "Alligigator Museaum" The front is a souvenir shop for the kiddos, trinkets and such. They put up this "museaum" in a toen that has REAL Dino tracks and then call it an "evidence" museaum but nothing REAL to prove anything..all hearsay and expalining evolution away. They must find the Dino tracks overwhelming as well or they would not of built that so called museaum in that shanty of a town NEXT TO Dinosaur tracks!

I've listened to Dr. Baugh speak once. He is an idiot. He claimed to have seen a live pteradactyl in South America. I gave him a chance to redeem himself by asking for photos, but of course, do you think he had any?
In order for evolution to be proven false, there would have to be concrete evidence against it, instead of stone evidence for it. Likewise, the reverse would have to be true for creationism. So far, this has not been the case, and it is unlikely that it will ever be.

I think his complaint is that Macro Evolution has nothing to do with, "(you know, evolving from nothing or a singularity)"

Macro Evolution is part of evolution, and evolution could care less where life came from, let alone where the universe came from. A basic definition for Macro Evolution is speciation.

You are mixing the big bang and evolution together. And even then, the big bang never says we "came from nothing"
