Ha! I got the year right this time. I ain't nobody's fool...err, at least not twice.

So, here's what I learned.

From the AFG:

This week was a continuation of last week which is the topic of the fear of man. This time we talked about rejection. The pastor used Det 1:17, 1Sam 14-24, John 12:42-43.

He warned us about placing people on a pedstal. Instead, we shoudl treat each other equally. For example, I should give the same the secretary the same respect that I give my boss. Of course, I am the secretary where I work so I that's an easy one for me:D . He also pointed out how we might fear losing our "status" and therefore act to our own end instead of working toward's God's end.

For the service, the topic was Redeemed. He used Titus 2:14 to reveal three truths about our redemption:

1) We are redeemed from something which is all wickedness. He used Eph 2:1 and 3, Rom 8:2, Col 1:13-14 and 1 Pet 1:18-19. He reminded us that even good people need Christ.

2) We are redeemed by something which is the death of christ. He reminded us of how high that cost really is. 2 Cor 8:9, 1 Pet 1:18-19, 1 Cor 5:7, Rev 5:9, Rom 3:24 and Mark 10:45.

3) We are redeemed for something which is to be pure people belonging to God alone. 2 Tim 1:9, 1 cor 6:19-20.

For all of this, he suggested that we do the following:
1) Thank God every day
2) Worship God every day
3) Live a holy life style everyday and
4) do good every day

So what did you learn? Perhaps you weren't the student, perhaps you were the teacher. If that's the case, what did you teach? What did you learn from your students? Perhaps you didn't learn something new but were reminded of something you forgot or neglected. Whatever it is, tell us about it so that we may benefit as well!
