Dear Elder111. God gave us the Ten Commandments, and Jesus gave us two Commandments, which contain all what God gave us in The Ten Commandments. Jesus tells a Lawyer in Matthew 22; 35-40: On those two Commandments, to Love God and love your neighbour, hang all the Law and the Prophets, they contain all what God gave us in His Ten Commandments:
1) Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds.
2) Love our neighbour as we love ourselves. God wants our Love, freely given and No conditions tagged on. In Luke 10: 25-28: Jesus tells a Lawyer there:
" you know the two Commandments to Love God, and love your neighbour.
Do THESE and thou shalt LIVE." God wants our Love, freely given and NO conditions tagged on.
The Expositor`s New-Testament tells us in Matthew 37: " this is the foundation of all the Law, and as well, applies to the present Day of Grace."

One has to wonder why He didn't just give us hundreds, thousands or even millions of laws which hang on those two, once and for all.He said that all of the law and commandments 'HANG' on these two great commandments and they are the first two in the Ten, and the other eight hang on the two, which is the foundation of the following eight commandments.
The law is not God, Whom neither the heavens nor the earth can contain, much less ten, or two written laws.

The first law points to the Father and the second points to the Son, and these are the two Great Commanders of the Law. Don't confuse covenants with law, they are not the same. A covenant must have a foundation of law and if the law is abolished then there are no valid covenants made.
We might also look back at Daniel when there were the men thrown into the fiery furnace and they saw what appeared to be the Son of man with them. Thanks

Yes, it is interesting that I, among many others would think that the Character of God is a reflection of Him in Truth. God never removed the TC nor any part of it, Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to destroy it. It is man who removed it, God would have to remove Himself from existence if He abolished His Law.
