What has happened to people? I am looking at something interesting. I am seeing so many things dismissed by so many people. These days we have so many people who take the bible and ignore what they want and take what they want. Why is it that there are clear doctorins in the bible and yet people have tried to defend their beliefes that are contrary to these doctorins. Why do people think they can do this?! It isn't even a matter of not knowing the bible. It is a matter of using it impoperly. Just felt like making a rant.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

He sure 'nuff was ranting when He threw out the money changers from the temple, and when He confronted the Pharisees and the Saducees(sp?)
The Bible has always been mis-used and 'twisted' and it stil is.
Do not despair. Shine your light even brighter. Do not waste much thought on those who choose to twist the Bible......rather, focus on those who need His mercy and compassion and loving kindness and be His arms, hands, feet, and mouth.
We all have a mission here. And it is to seek the hopeless and the despairing and the weary. To be a light where there is none.
Isaiah 42:7 "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house."
Isaiah 58:6-116 "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
