What happened to Dan?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with why Manasseh has replaced Dan in the 12 tribes in Rev 7 and 14, in contrast to Gen 49. I can see why Manasseh was the replacement but why was Dan replaced? The closest thing I can find is what Jeroboam used Dan (but also bethel) for:

1 Kings 12
29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.
30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

Which seemed to be a complete replacement of God with idols.

Amos 8
14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

But I can't understand if the Danites are being held responsible for the sins comitted at the geographic location Dan.

Take notice that all throughout the Bible there are instances where one or another tribe might be left out. It is a christian teaching that possibly the reason is due to the Anti-Christ coming from the Tribe of Dan. I don't see this a viable for a number of different reasons, but it is a common belief in Christianity.

It's said that he has to be Jewish because he can't fool the "Jews" into believing he's the Messiah if he's not. The idea that he came from Dan is common within the Calvary Chapel group and those that follow Dan Hunt etc.

Alot of people think the next temple will be anti-christ or should I say unholy.
I ask those kind of people if the next temple will be the temple of G-d and is it holy? Most of them answer saying G-d did away with the temple and it's sacrifice but if the anti-christ comes and desicrates it,how can you desicrate something thats not Holy? For years I heve believed there wouldn't be an actual person who comes and is called an anti-christ but I read something a couple days ago that changed my mind.

The question of where Dan is doesn't bother me as near as much as the question of where Ephraim is.Personally I believe Dan{judgement} is judging Ephraim.
