What happened to all of the birds during the flood?

AV1611VET got me thinking about this question,
if Noah took two of every bird species there is in the world
he would have needed two Arks besides the one he built.
and please don't tell me the sea birds swam along side.

If what AV1611VET says is true there would not be any birds left on the planet,
instead we have thousands of different kinds as seen here,
http://birding.about.com/library/blalphatypeofbird.htm

If the Ark was the only thing in the world that was above water (and for a year)
where did all the birds settle every night?
Answer, on the Ark.
(sea birds might survive, but even they breed on land)

Can you imagine tens of thousands of birds on one ship,
with no where else to fly, if they left the ship, they died.
(I have seen the deck of a ship when thousands of birds have spent a few hours
resting while crossing the Atlantic, take my word it's not a pretty sight)

And if he's right they spent a year there, what did they eat? perhaps God
provided them with food, after all, they were not the ones he was out to get,
it was the people he wanted dead, all of the other animals on earth were what is
known as 'Collateral damage', ( sounds like a James Bond movie where
the villain sets up an elaborate way of killing him, like tying him to a giant saw,
why he doesn't just put a bullet in him we don't know, perhaps it makes for a
better story?)

If you are sure the flood happened, please explain this.

Maybe they hitched a ride on top of the ark. The great things about birds is that they can stay in the air for quite some time and then they land for awhile and fly some more maybe the all took turns flying and then landing on the top of the boat.

Who knows one of those questions you will have to ask God when you get to heaven. :)

That's if you believe in God or the ark at all.....Just kidding around!

It's comforting to know that this isn't a test

All the birds in the world? Do you have any idea how heavy that would be? The boat would [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] sink instantly :p

Besides, birds don't have the intelligence to take "turns" landing somewhere - I just think they'd realize they were getting sleepy and land on it.

Birds are very light

They were stacked on the deck 10 high, I've done the calculations and they agree with the diagram Mrs. Noah drew.

No, birds are too stupid to realize they are getting sleepy

And you don't have to worry about the fish; the birds and cats ate them

Could you ask this at askmoses.com
Its a site dedicated to bible answers, ran by rabbis and jewish scholars 24/7 witha live chat.
and post your results here as i would also like to know about this.

As the flood is a corner stone of creationism, this is the right place to ask questions about the flood,
however, this might not be the right place to expect any answers about the flood because
creationists are notoriously bad at answering questions.

Surly there must be a creationist handbook with the creationists version of events hanging around,
or shall we put this one down to, DONT KNOW.

I have no idea on the matter.
I read your thread and was curious myself, and just pointed out a place where you could get an answer... weather or not its the truth or what you want to hear is a different story.
If you decide to go and see what they feed you..could you please share with me ?

Again I post this link which pretty much refutes everything about Noah's ark happening naturally, but I expect many won't read it because it's a bit long:

The Impossible Voyage of Noah's Ark
by Robert Moore

I like the picture of the Ark with all the holes in it.

What amazes me is even with all of that against there ever being an Ark, people are still prepared to believe there was such a ship,
talk about putting the brain on hold, this takes denial to new heights.

There's an old song by Jimmy Clanton that sums up the flood completely, it's called, 'Just a dream, just a dream'.
