most people WITH a mental health problem dont bark. why would they here?

yah, ok, so what about all these people who get progressively better, and NOT seven times worse every time they have a deliverance of some bondage in their life?

I guess it depends on whether it was a demon bieng exercised or a paticular bondage being broken..

right.

so why do people think that people are always getting "re-delivered" of something, when it is usually in fact the "first" (and hopefully only) time???

God is not a God of confusion is a pretty misused verse. If someone comes asking questions is that confusion? If someone doesn't understand something, is that confusion? I don't understand how my car runs, and I can't find a voltswagon in the Bible, so does that mean it's not from God? You won't find me putting up too much of an argument for that, yet others will swear by them. Is this confusion? And ever manifestation of the Spirit is to edify God? Can you give me a verse for that?

When I first became a Christian, before I learned these things are from the devil, I received a fit of laughing. It was amazing, and when it happened, I was instantly set free from a drug habbit of about five years. Now I'm confused again, and God is not the God of confusion, so did the devil set me free?
 me too. It was not a drug habit but it was several others.

Jesus also said, "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'"

Notice:
1) these people called Him 'Lord'.
2) they did many wonders "in Your name".
3) yet, Jesus never knew them.
4) Per Vine's, "lawlessness" is "the flagrant defiance of the known will of God.

I think this is what posters, such as flyfisher, are trying to get across. It is imperative that Jesus is known, not all these tangent "actions".

We must be Bereans in discerning whether things are of God or not. Even when the greatest of apostles, Paul, spoke, he thought the Bereans to be wise to check his message against the Word of God! "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." Acts 17:11.

And rather than waiting for God to either "stop them", or "tell me if these are so", we should go to where He has already spoken to us. "He has given us all things pertaining to life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Him." 2Pet1:3.

patrick as i have stated earlier i believe these individuals are people who were once truly saved..They are the preachers of the puplits who live in sin and the results come from the power of the word of GOD.. They are those who hold doctrines so dear to them but so contrary to the word of the LORD.. So amen!!!

flyfisher, my post may have been too extreme, in that it appears I am judging their eternal state. This was not my intention.

I was merely pointing out that some can display many forms of spirituality with their "manifestations", and yet miss the bigger picture altogether.

If you have personal knowledge regarding their salvation, far be it from me to "judge" to the contrary. Sorry if I presented myself in this way.
