What gives a belief value?

Dear Ana the 1st. Any belief which Jesus Himself gives us, is worth following.
In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus tells us: " The first and great Commandment is:
Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Jesus also states this true fact: on these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
God wants our love, freely given and NO conditions tagged on. How do we do it? Matthew 7: 7-10: tells us: " ask and you shall receive." There we ask God for Love and Joy, then thank God, and share all with our neighbour. (all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends.) We keep asking and thanking and sharing all Love and Joy with our neighbour. God sees our loving efforts,
and God will approve and bless us.
The Bible tells us: " Repent and be Born Again," we change from our selfish wants and wishes, to loving and caring for our neighbour, in all we say or do,
and God will approve. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we start loving and caring for our neighbour, and we are following our Lord`s
leading. Jesus will help and guide us: JESUS IS THE WAY. Following our Lord`s Commandments gives our Love for, and believe in God our Heavenly Father, VALUE. We will forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us,
and carry on Loving God and loving our neighbour.
I say this with love, Ana the 1st. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Any belief? Even this one?

"But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. "— Luke 19:27

It seems that those who don't want Jesus to rule over them should be killed for it...

Now we're taking single lines out of context from parables and calling them "beliefs of Jesus"?

C'mon, man. It's bad enough when Christians do that...

Dear Ana the 1st. What gives a belief value? To me it depends Who gives the great News and tells us about Jesus: " This is my beloved Son." And Jesus died for us, and lives with God, where He pleads our prayers. The Bible tells us in detail. I say this with love. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

A belief has value if it shapes the mode of living.

What if the "shaped mode of living" is negative for that person and their society?

For instance, many Christians are trying to have ID taught in science classes. This is clearly a negative for students trying to learn science. It can also be a negative for that person if someone who would have discovered the cure for cancer turns away from science because of the ID they learned in that science class.

...I checked the context before I posted that. Personally, I think that when you add the entire context it makes the whole scene look worse, seeing how this happens right before he steals someone's horse.

If you'd like to discuss the context though, feel free to start us off...
