What game that take most of your time?

Steel Panthers: World at War

I just made a scenario reminisicient of Cowboys vs. Indians. It's really easy to make custom scenarios that are really fun for that game. I played it as the U.S. side and fought the Indians to a draw. I must have done a good job.

i played PES3 right up until PES4 came out!! same with PES2 and PES3!

the master league is amazing - you can create the perfect team over several seasons and then play your team against a mates team!!

Well, I have SOE Station Access now so I'm pretty overwhelmed with game choices; I have them all (7 mmog's!)... lol. I play them all and have at least one high (or mid) lvl char in each game but I spend most of my game time with PlanetSide and EQ. I'm new to PS but I've played EQ for about 3 years total but just got back into playing it after maybe two years of being away from the game.

I'm trying to play SWG again too but it's fairly dead and I think my main Char has been nerfed pretty well since I've been away from the game. But it's pretty dead in there now and the JTLS expansion is not so good. I think Earth and Beyond was actually better than JTLS... and they pulled the plug on E&B lol ...but JTLS ain't too bad. Maybe I'll revamp my Creature Handler Char to Bounty Hunter if my CH Char turns out to be just too unplayable.

EQ2 is OK but I'm not so thrilled with it for a few reasons that I won't get into here. My computer is way to slow for EQ2 but I'm building a new game rig later this month or early next month so I'll give it another try.

Not too much going on with Guilds right now. I have one Guild/PA on Sunrunner in SWG that is a Christian Guild but beyond that I haven't gotten back into the Guild thing in any of the other games yet. It's hard to find a group that I'd like to play with; I prefer playing with like minded players such as with the group in SWG and that's hard to find in mmog's these days.

Steel Panthers has taken up more of my time than probably all other games put together. I prefer Steel Panthers WW2 version though. SP is a turn based tactical level WW2 wargame. Uses individual tanks/vehicles with squad/section sized troop units. You can play a platoon vs. platoon battle, or go up to about regiment vs. regiment. But battalion vs. battalion is most typical.

If you like wargames, this is the best there is.

The nice thing about SP is that it's a turn based game. So you can put an hour in a night, and then you are done until your opponent gets their turn back to you. Forces you to limit playing time, unless you start playing multiple games at one time.

Oh! and Steel Panthers is not only the best game available, but it is a completely free game. You can download it for free.

My second biggest time eater would be WarBirds. An on-line WW2 airplane sim. Very cool.

SP was GREAT! That was a good old game. Was my fav TB game for years until Civ came around. Before SP I liked a game named Conflict. It was a mideast TB war/politics game where you plaid the role of the Israeli Prime Minister. Pretty old 286 DOS game.

SP was GREAT! That was a good old game.

Why so much past tense? Steel Panthers WAW is a completely Windows based game and has been updated every six months or so. It is still being updated at this time and is a thoroughly modern game, and far better then the original.

Steel Panthers WW2 and MBT (Main Battle Tank, modern warfare) have also been updated with new releases recently. SPCAMO are currently in the process of completely re-coding both games into a Windows environment and this will include greater levels of detail and additional enhancements. They should be released by early summer.

All the versions of SP (IMHO) still outplay anything of this genre out there. Well until Combat Leader, Cross of Iron comes out, anyway; then we'll have to see...

But the longest it took me to complete a game was 4 years. It was the legend of zelda ocarina of time. I was only 8 and got scared of the first boss, so didn't play it for aaaaaaages finally beat it when I was 12
