What game console should I get?

I use to say PS2 if you weren't going to play online, but that has changed.

Xbox is swinging in full gear right now, and the line up for this year alone is worth the system. Even if you don't buy any of the past games.

Star Wars ( the new one with 8 vs 8 online, and 16 extra bots)

Plus Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow

I think that SUNSTONE has hit it right on the mark especially Halo 2. Now halo is about 3 years old and is still one of the best games out there (although it is falling fast to new games) but halo2 has the potential to be the best point and shoot of its time. I will admit that im not a expert, but i would like to know of a FPS that will be better then halo2. personal i have a Xbox and i like it a lot but i do want a PS2. if i had to chose which i like better Xbox is what i would chose but PS2 is a close 2nd. I just wish i had them both

I went with the gamecube, for the reasons mentioned above. Still very happy, and if I want the Big Games, hey, that's why my Linux box dual-boots.

I'd prefer the PS2. It's basically quality over quantity when it comes to the Xbox vs. PS2. I like the PS2 because I play a lot of online games and the PS2 games are free online (except for a select few). Xbox has better graphics and a much better online experience though you have to pay for it.

You said quality over quantity, ps2 over xbox.
But in fact it is just the opposite. PS2 has way more games, but they are not as good as xbox games.
The graphics aren't as good, and the number of players online isn't as good, plus ps2 can't do lan partys like the box can.

Last year PS2 had the edge(not over online), this year xbox owns.

I wouldn't be surprised if xbox sells more systems this year, than the previous 3 years combined.

SUNSTONE Xbox does not own PS2 YET, i think it take a little time for that to happen right now PS2 has a better selection of RPMS were as Xbox has the best FPS if i liked RPMs better i would get a PS2. so Xbox does not own YET but i think after this next year of games it will

what is an RPM? i thought i knew most everything concerning games...but this is new to me....or maybe i'm just not thinking hard enough...it IS almost midnight, and that hurricane beings o close might be effecting my reasoning...

You need to see those reviews again. The PS2 has roughly 3 times as many highly rated games (in the 9-10 area) than the XBox.

Sony has quantity, and quality on their side.

Maybe RPGs? And not RPMs. PS2 does have more RPGs.

I just bought an Xbox to play Fable and Halo2. I have just started Fable and it is already worth the money, I shudder to think at what Halo2 will do to my current schedule of sleep depravation.

I say xbox because its just way more versitle...you can play online, by yourself, lan...any way you want to game...

Xbox has the most multiplayer capabilities, like said above: System Link, Xbox Live, or By Yourself. Plus the most anticipated game ever made: Halo 2!
