Here's the answer to the above. Bonanza 1960's TV show with three brothers, Adam, Hoss, and Little Joe . Lived on the Ponderosa huge, huge ranch almost the size of a State. Actually Little Joe....a young Michael Landon, did get married in the last year of the 13 year show but his wife died in short order.
