Weeeeerl... I'd agree it doesn't mean someoneone IS racist. I can think of plenty of racists who would do EXACTLY that sort of thing. Just sain'. No calling anyone a racist. That would be a interesting discussion elsewhere.

A racist would seek to legally marry a woman of the race he is racist against? Come to think of it-you are right. Under some extremely extenuating circumstances that might happen. Or maybe just for the purpose of getting the victim close in order to abuse? Neither does being a racist mean that the racist is totally impervious to the charms of the female members or vice versa. After all, we have historical examples of that in the USA slave system where such encounters were plentiful. We also have the first Spaniard's in the New World holding the Native Americans in contempt racially but having no qualms in taking wives from among them.

However, in my case there was deep admiration for the culture and there was absolutely no racially based contempt.

Not all racism is of the "kill 'em all, I can't stand to be in the same room as 'em!" variety. If you think of members of their race as inferior and of less worth to you, their place being inferior to yours, they might make an excellent spouse, if you expect to be able to treat them as proverbial dirt. It's probably lot easier to practically enslave and sexually assault someone you don't percieve as a human of your own worth in the first place. I'm sure you've encountered people who use their spouse as an object, who have no real connection with him or her, but only see the spouse as a means to some sort of gratification. Indeed, there are people for whom, demeaning their spouse is kind of the point of having one. If you are racist against a group, members of that group could be a perfect fit. I mean, you've never herd of "slumming"?

I'm not suggesting racists marry people from their group(s) of prejudice to have fulfilling and equal partnerships, don't get me wrong.

Unfortunately that is true. Marriage can have many motivations and not all of them are noble.

To be clear, I'm speaking about ignoble ones. I don't think racists often go out of their way to marry someone they're prejudiced against hoping for a mutually loving and supportive relationship.

1. Physical attraction
2. Personality compatibility
3. Restricted choices in ones own race or ethnic group due to geographical isolation
4. Financial considerations where both families benefit
5. Shared religious and cultural values

I personally find Eastern Oriental women to be extremely feminine and their cultural values similar to the Biblical one where the husband is honored. Unfortunately and as usual misfortune attended my effort to make it a reality.

You are right, 2 should be given higher priority than 1. That is a mistake that the younger we are the more likely we will be to make due to raging hormones. Unfortunately, when all hades breaks lose due to personality incompatibility and maybe kids become involved, then youth has to deal with the consequences of its youthful short-sightedness,
