Tapero, you pointed out that angels MAY not be more intelligent, and they MAY not be more knowledgeable about God than humans. So let's assume that's true.

Can we at least assume that angels KNOW that God exists? Plenty of humans do not, or they "know" he exists but have occasional doubts, but I would think that angels are God's direct messengers so they pretty much KNOW that God exists.

Now, if the angels, including Satan KNOW that God exists and they know he created them- that he has complete power over them- why would they rebel? Yeah, Satan was supposedly prideful, but there are biblical examples that show him to be a very intelligent, cunning being. It doesn't matter how prideful you are, you have to be STUPID to rebel against an omnipotent God that you are familiar with.

The story doesn't make sense.

Hi, I just pointed out that man being lower, does not equate to mean that angels have higher intelligence.

Such is not stated, and I tend to go with what is stated and try not to imply what's not given, not all the time, but most times is what I do.

We really don't know why they rebel, as I pointed out man has same truth and rebels as well.

I think I also explained the hebrews and other as well, but the Hebrews knew God existed, He was with them, and they rejected him and sinned and worshipped created things (idols, etc) rather than the creator.

So, they knew also, so there is no difference it appears whether one knows God to be real or not at least in the instance of the Hebrews and angels.

Christians also know God is real, tho some may have doubts at times, some may always doubt, some may never doubt, but majority knows God is real.

So, I used to use certain scripture and apply it to satan, as I believe is about satan, but no longer use that bit from Ezekiel, because now I'm not sure.

So those who do know the truth of God, or have heard that those in unbelief will go to hell, does not sway them to belief; some maybe. So it's just as much known here as in heaven what will occur.

So, it's not just why would angels rebel with such knowledge, why does man?

I understand for myself, had no clue to God till shortly coming to Christ, so was not even aware of the gospel, God etc and hell. Once I came to Christ, I was aware as i grew in Christ.

Others have that knowledge but don't come to Christ, so again matters not, angels or man.

We don't know what goes on in spiritual realm for most part, very little insight given into it.

Guessing, that whatever satan did, that what God says of him, liar and deciever, perhaps he decieved the angels who fell with him. We don't know.

Very doubtful God revealed all that God knows to satan, very doubtful as satan does not know all. In fact can pretty much say he didn't reveal all to satan.

So whatever he knew, he went from there, and apparently didn't like God's way and chose a way that is evil. satan may have known of consequences of sinning and did what he did anyway, same as humans do.

or he may not have known, it's not written.

we don't know many of the matters that pertain to angels, such as what keeps the now good angels from becoming falling angels, if even such occurs. Can good angels fall now, were they sealed at some point, so that if they fell, such is forgiven?

We don't know what keeps believers from turning from God in heaven? It's not written. Know we will never be tossed out as salvation is eternal, but not written how such occurs. Doubt any would turn from God in heaven once we are there, as there is no longer sin, but just an example of unknowns?

So yes, I agree stupid on satans part. Again, we don't know whether he cared or not if knew hell awaited, as many men know such today and don't care. We don't know what knowledge he had at all.

But again humans knew God existed in (ot), He was with them, and did same thing, did not put faith in God, rejection, and worshipped idols. We may well have done same thing if we were them, we don't know, each man is individual and we all come to Christ in different ways.

So much to ponder.

What teenager hasn't riled their parents, at the risk of getting kicked out of the house? Some things are more valuable to [people] than comfort and acceptance.

That's a decent example, but it's a bit different.

If God is truly omnipotent, and the only way to true happiness, then there is no option but to follow him. Parents, on the other hand, are only one of the many possibilities a teenager can find for happiness- even if they get kicked out of the house they have relatives, friends, etc, who may provide even a better home than the parents did.

It's true that some people value other things over comfort and acceptance- but do you think they would not have known that they would get punished for their rebellion?

I'll stop now, because this isn't a debate forum :)
