First name:

ADAM Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Jewish, Biblical
Other Scripts: אָדָם (Hebrew), Адам (Russian, Ukrainian)
Pronounced: A-dam (English), AH-dahm (German, Polish), ah-DAHM (Russian) [key]
This is the Hebrew word for "man". It could be ultimately derived from Hebrew אדם ('adam) meaning "to be red", referring to the ruddy colour of human skin, or from Assyrian adamu meaning "to make". According to Genesis in the Old Testament Adam was created from the earth by God (there is a word play on Hebrew אֲדָמָה ('adamah) "earth"). He and Eve were supposedly the first humans, living happily in the Garden of Eden until Adam ate a forbidden fruit given to him by Eve.

I fail.

Middle name:

WAYNE Gender: Masculine
Usage: English
Pronounced: WAYN [key]
From an occupational surname meaning "wagon maker", derived from Old English wægn "wagon". Use as a first name can be partly attributed to the popularity of the actor John Wayne. Another famous bearer is Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky, generally considered the best player in the history of the sport.
Okay. That's a little better, though I'm not a John Wayne fan, nor a Wayne Gretzky fan, nor have I ever even been around a wagon in my life to make one and the sort. |:

Last name:

SMITH Gender: Masculine
Usage: English
Pronounced: SMITH [key]
From a common surname meaning "blacksmith", derived from Old English smitan "to smite, to hit".
Uhhh, my dad's worked in a steel mill for most of his life, though that has nothing to do with me. I have top admit, though, I'm pretty big on the smiting and hitting, though. =D;

My first name means "to be healthy, strong"
My middle name means "peace"
My last name - is of early medieval English origin. It is one of a handful of surnames which were derived from the name of the first bearer's mother. (I couldn't find a meaning for it other than what it means as a first name which is - My God is a vow.)

My dad tells me we're related to a man who was an NFL QB from the late 1930s - early 1940's, who then quit to become the coach for Perdue.

Well, I don't have to live up to my name.:D I'm cool:cool:
HAHA! My younger son's name is Jesse and my ex wanted his middle name to be James (Jesse James). I vetoed it and chose Wade instead b/c I didn't want a son that would grow up to be in trouble with the law all the time. :p
