What does your daily practice look like?

I thought I'd also take a stab at introducing a discussion focusing on faith and less so what's going on around us or, in some cases, what some have perceived is happening to us.

So, what does your daily faith practice look like? Is there anything you'd like to improve upon? Anything you'd like to do more of? Anything you struggle with?

For a long time my daily practice was, well, sporadic. There wasn't a great deal of structure and I got to it when I got to it. I'm definitely finding it more fruitful being more deliberate, assigning time to read, to be in prayer, even to reach out in fellowship. The latter isn't something that necessarily can be formalised in a time window, but it's definitely something I find beneficial to make time for, because I am always energised by fruitful fellowship.

I've always loved and gravitated towards Proverbs. It's always been something that has resonated the most with me because it has been the most prescriptive approach to better conduct and living, but I am trying to make more of an effort to reach further afield instead of instinctively to Proverbs whenever I get the opportunity for a moment of reading.

I'd really like to work on my prayer life and build the habit of prayerfully leaning on God in all things.

Week days:

I pray in the morning.
I listen to praise / worship music all day at work. One sermon a week.
I pray at dinner.
I read a few pages from a Christian authored book on spiritual development.
Bible read every couple days, sometimes prayer before bed. – need to get more consistency on these 2. I used to read the Bible & never pray, now it’s kind of the opposite problem.

I s/ probably clarify this is my ideal routine but I'm finding I do it more & more consistently!

I repeat the Glory Be very frequently (amazing deep wording) with some Our Fathers and I meditate greatly upon meanings of "kingdom of God" / "kingdom of heaven" that are different from what most christians say, and upon Mamre, Aner and Eshcol.

I engage in prayer throughout my day, from the moment I wake up to just before I sleep, during car rides, while at work, and even when I'm spending time with friends. Sometimes, I spontaneously express gratitude to God which to me is like a prayer but I consider it a type of worship. Additionally, I make it a daily practice to read the Bible. However, I'm planning to set aside my Saturdays exclusively for deepening my connection with God and immersing myself in Bible study.

To enhance my understanding of the Word of God, I intend to acquire some Bible journals. Currently, I rely on a study Bible, a concordance, and a cultural study Bible, but I wish to avoid cluttering them with my notes and thoughts, potentially making them unreadable. My current system lacks the structure I desire. By using these journals, I'll have the space and freedom to keep my insights organized, making it easier to reference and allowing my understanding to flourish and grow over time.

Ideally, I'm hoping to establish a more structured daily routine centered around my faith. Additionally, I have a desire to participate in more church groups and become more actively involved in my church community. However, my priority is to establish a solid daily structure first to ensure that I don't inadvertently overwhelm myself in the process.

Currently, I'm dedicating a lot of my time, energy, and resources to reshape my life in alignment with God's design. While I understand that this perspective may seem subjective to some, my interpretation of the Bible leads me to believe that women have a unique design and purpose. As I aspire to get married, I recognize that I need to prepare myself to be a wife according to God's plan. This is a significant personal endeavor because I've been employed full-time since the age of 15, often juggling multiple jobs simultaneously. I've always been a hard worker, and my friends even tease me about it. Throughout my life, I've been taught that self-reliance is paramount.

Now, I'm in the process of reshaping my mindset, relinquishing control, and relearning fundamental principles which I actively aspire to every day. This transition represents a challenge for me. My commitment to marriage is unwavering; I believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment, 'till death do us part,' with no room for compromise. That's been my mindset even before accepting Jesus, now I've added the 'unless God says otherwise' ( You know what I'm talking about... Hopefully. ). Therefore, I'm diligently acquiring the tools and skills necessary to make this commitment a reality. This is my current struggle.

>I pray when I wake up
>The Holy Spirit walks with me as I take my dog for a walk and I pray, for strength and for others.
>check the Christian forum as part of my learning
>during the working day I will read parts of the Bible, in particular the New Testament
>prior to sleep I will watch You Tube videos as part of my spiritual study of Gods Word and the teachings of Jesus
>Prayer of thanks for my care
>Sleep

This is now a habit for me but I’m still very new to this and I know my next step is adding in daily love, care and kindness to others. I am currently working in corporate but my desires for the care of others has me planning to leave so I can pursue a new life working for the benefit of others less fortunate, whatever that maybe.
