I think it means that though God's Word covers many areas and topics it all works together for God's will to be revealed and fulfilled. It is a prime example of how God's church should be ONE body with many parts.

This is a good example of reading something by someone who originally wrote it and not knowing what the author's intent is. There have been different interpretations posted here in regards to my question. Though only three posted here, my point has been made. Panterapat actually made the most correct interpretation of this suggestive phrase of which the originator intended its meaning to convey. It is in regards to keeping in mind the whole message of the bible while reading or studying its many other isolated parts or passages or texts of scripture. It is suggesting not to build a theology around one text of scripture while ignoring the other parts of the bible. For example, if you believe that a woman should not wear clothes that pertain to a man and you use the Deuteronomy passage to show support of your view, you are building a theology around a single verse without regard for the bible as a whole. Specifically, another part of the bible that suggests that God does not look on the outward, but the inward part of man. This is 1Samuel 16:7 and it would seemingly contradict the verse in Deuteronomy, of which time I cannot recall what it is, but I'm sure you know of which I speak. There are other examples to get the point of the suggestive phrase across, but I do believe you are getting the jist of its meaning. It is my belief that many persons come across things in the bible that say one thing, while another part says another and it seems contradictory and they don't know how to reconcile the two. One of my recent topics that I posted called '1Samuel 16:7 and the Outward Appearance of Things' is a good example of this. Ten people have viewed it, but no one has of yet responded to it. It seemingly has caused some to think. I have no doubt, though I could be wrong, that after I've posted this that someone will respond to it for sure. I love to make people think outside of their boxes sometimes:) Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the phrase, although only one of you go it as the author intended it to be received.

In agape love,
