This is the indwelling of the Holy Ghost, probably has something to do with being ordained too.

Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

I agree.

But also I have heard various things regarding the different meanings of the Kingdom of God as opposed to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Israelities were looking for a political king to save them from Roman oppression. They were looking for a physical deliverance.

This website explains a little about this and includes some of the Bible verses... so I thought I'd copy the link for you....

This means that God has set His Kingdom up in Me through Christs indwelling Sprirt.. It is Christ in us the Hope of Glory.. It is Gods seal upon us.. It means that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It means that as we preach Gods word that the Kingdom of Heaven is being preached from out of Gods Spirit with in us.. That is why we are to abide in Him and His Word is to abide in us...

Just as a note... "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Kingdom of God" mean the same thing. "Heaven" in this sense is a popular Hebraic idiom-- a circumlocution for "God". The terms are interchangeable.

We need to read the Gospels in the original Hebraic context is we are to begin to understand the meaning of the Kingdom.

OK, I agree with the Holy Spirit sense.

So how can we then know when the Kingdom of Heaven is within us? How does It communicate to us? What is It's language? Does It communicate through emotion?...like if I see something that's wrong it can make me sad or angry (the righteous type) and likewise if I see something that's good it can make me joyous? Is that how we know? Don't we all have that? Is that what QuantaCura means in post #6? Could it be that we are born with it? Born Christian?

Sorry about the plethora of questions.

The KoG, like "freedom," is an internal mental state and is not imposed by external circumstances.
Hey Billwald,

Not imposed but how about released - made aware - set free - unbound by external circumstances?

What does Strong's say regarding the words God and Heaven?

Greek

Kingdom of God - God qeoV, a deity, especially (with 3588 ) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very:--X exceeding, God, god(-ly, -ward).

Kingdom of Heaven ouranoV derived from oroV
probably from an obsolete oro (to rise or "rear"; perhaps akin to airw - airo; compare 3733); a mountain (as lifting itself above the plain): -hill, mount(-ain).

Does it say the 'Kingdom of Heaven' is within you in the bible?

What did Christ mean when he said this?

When a person is born again, Rom. 10: 9-10 tells us how, The Holy Spirit dwells with us and is in us as well the Kingdom of God.

Col 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
KJV

God's Kingdom has principles and laws just like any other kingdom. His Kingdom is spiritual not physical. When the spiritual laws such as the law of faith is understood and operated properly the spiritual laws will always dominate the situations in our life. :)

It seems most agree that 'the Kingdom of Heaven is within you' is the presence of the Holy Spirit. And here's how I believe the Holy Spirit communicates;

The feeling you get when a new born baby, still steaming from its mother's womb, grasps your little finger.

The joy you feel when a child is pulled alive from earthquake rubble a week after it happened.

The despair that is felt when you see footage of weeping African women rocking their dead infants.

The happiness you experience when an elderly couple hold hands whilst walking in the park.

The sense of hope you get when a mother openly forgives the boys who butchered her only son.

The shock of seeing a tiny coffin.

Those things that move the spirit within. That can make us feel great emotion for people we do not know. Those things that make you realise that all life is His and He has placed something inside of us that makes us care for others - not just within our family or in our country - but in our world. Seek not the differences between us but the things that make us family. His family - for which He has a great love.

I believe emotion is the voice of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit tells us through emotion that something is good/right (joy) or bad/wrong (sadness). Emotion is certainly different in those that know Christ to those that do not. In those that do not it can create confusion because they do not know the language of the Holy Spirit. They then attach that emotion falsely to the material world to try and make sense of it (I once saw a TV chef cry because he had never tasted food so beautiful !!?). But for those that know Christ - those that have felt the greatest sadness in His death on the cross and the greatest joy with the cleansing of mankind's sin, in the same moment - are guided by the Holy Spirit because the language is clear to them, its scope revealed, and they are driven by It's will (God's will). Christian or otherwise, to go against His will results in the mix of emotions we know as guilt (the group of people with the highest levels of serious mental illness and suicides (and murders) are soldiers returned from war - 'love thy neighbour as thyself').

When you have experienced great sadness and/or great joy you will understand it in others. The Holy Spirit speaks to you of another's sadness - and in so doing it is felt. The Holy Spirit through them cries out to you and the Holy Spirit through you hears. The language of the Holy Spirit that binds us is our rock - though all speak, only through Christ can you hear. And when the extremes of emotions are known to you then the joy and sadness of all men shall be known. So that you cannot trespass against your brother, against your sister, lest you trespass against yourself. And by the same token, when you bring joy to your brother or your sister then so too is that joy yours.

Bless Josh

therichfool mentioned in his first post, 'The Kingdom of Heaven is within you', he didn't provide a biblical reference.

I can't find a verse where the Kindom of Heaven is used to describe what is within us. I have found the usual posts responding to the original as if it's all mighty and correct take on the bible.......surprise, surprise, but going by this place one should expect such loyalty

I can only find the saying, 'the kingdom of Heaven is within us'

Luke 17 tells us that the Pharisees were expecting an actual Kingdom on earth. A visible Kingdom of Heaven...

But the Kingdom is within, which is to say, it is Spiritual and not from or of this world.

Luke 17
20 And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? he answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there. For lo, the kingdom of God is within you. 22 And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when you shall desire to see one day of the Son of man; and you shall not see it. 23 And they will say to you: See here, and see there. Go ye not after, nor follow them: 24 For as the lightening that lighteneth from under heaven, shineth unto the parts that are under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
