Hello.
What does that Bible say about mind reading and people with "powers"? Not powers like in the Government or influential people but powers like mind reading, telepathy, seeing or predicting the future.

I m not claiming that I have powers but I think I m under attack by a group of people that can read my mind.

Does God give such powers to a person? Or are they all unnatural and works of the enemy?

Thanks in advance.

Isaiah 8:19-20
And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?
To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

I think OP is talking about having coincedents where it might look like someone read the other person's mind. Happens to me a lot and I never thought about it till now. I've always brushed them off as works of the enemy and coincidents.

Situations where the saying "think of the devil and he will appear" seems appropriate.

So for example remembering an old song then hearing it on the radio a few minutes later.

From what i know God doesnt just give people "Superpowers" but he gives people gives but nothing like telepathy, things like witchcraft, necromancing etc and what i use to do "Psi" {probably some other from of withcraft} are sins. Now it's not people with "telepathy" that would be attacking you it is demons. most likely.

The Bible doesn't say anything about mind reading or psychic powers. It forbids going to the dead for advice and it forbids casting spells. It doesn't sound like you are dealing with either one.

Sometimes people have what is called "good intuition." It is not a supernatural power, but is just a great talent for seeing clues and a knack for connecting the dots when there are very few dots. It's not infallible, and people with good intuition usually blow it big time when they blow it. It could be that you are running into a few people with good intuition.

The other thing that this might be is paranoia. It is a well known phenomenon that when certain brain chemicals get out of whack, one of the things that might happen is a person can become convinced that others are reading their mind, when in fact it is not the case. If you think there is a chance you might be being paranoid, there is no shame in this. Make an appointment to see your primary care physician so that he can make the appropriate referrals if this is indeed the case. It certainly won't hurt for you to inquire.

There is one final possibility. Some people (not me) think that demons can read minds. If that is true, than a demon possessed person, or someone channeling a demon, might be able to read your mind. I wouldn't worry about this too much. So what if your mind is read. How does this hurt you? It's a bit unnerving, yes, but no real harm done. If you think that this is the case, just rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Personally, if someone reads MY mind, the joke is on them. LOL

One final thing-- consider that if no one is reading your mind and you are obsessing about it, that demons are really getting a kick out of it. In fact, demons might be irritating those thoughts into the obsession just to cause you pain.

It doesn't sat anything at all, most likely because there are no such powers.

You may be under attack; I hope that you are not. But no one can read your mind. That is the stuff of fiction.

Does God give such powers to a person? Or are they all unnatural and works of the enemy?
God could, because He's God. There is no evidence that He ever has, though. There's also no evidence to show that the devil can read minds, or that if he can, he either can or will bestow that power on others. Scripture never shows demons doing anything other than tormenting poor victims, or trying to gull someone into doing something shabby. The notion that Nick has nearly godlike powers that he confers on his minions is purely the product of human imagination.

As Jipsah said, the Bible doesn't say anything about mind reading or super powers because those things don't exist. Nobody can read your mind, nobody has super powers.

Thank you everybody for your replies.

At first that's what I thought as well, "who are these people?" such things only exist in fiction novels, TV and movies. But later on it gets worst.

Had this over a year now. Been to psychologist, psychiatrists, priests, and yes even to traditional village shaman/witch doctors in remote rural places ( which I deeply regretted, I went away feeling being scammed). I was desperate now.

They claim that they got their abilities and been charged "from above" and that they are doing this to me to change me because I m sinful.
I have to admit that I m not perfect and sinned as well (who hasn't?).

They would read my mind and get ideas, information, our business/trade secrets and our financial information directly from my head. And would mock me "so this is how you do it, we will be rich because of you". Or "you are helping us to be rich".

Let's say hypothetically if there are people that can read my mind is it considered stealing?

Later on they are saying that I have suffered enough and in order for my problem to go away I need to go to their place and "use my mouth" to apologize to them and then see a live "butanding" that's a local name for a whale shark. Which I need to travel for that.

Took therapies, spiritual consultations with priests, and meds at first but had 1 horrible experience so decided to take those if I have no more options left.

Thanks to this site someone from another thread advised me to see a neuropsychologist, which I will do.

Shall I follow their instructions of going to places and apologize and see a living animal? Is this God's will? I thought even if I don't go to places if he only wills it I can be back to normal again.

I know in my heart that I m not crazy.

Hi
I am Catholic, now.
Before I became a believer in Catholicism things happened.
Once I had demons talking to me 24 hours a day seven days a week.
the priests helped with that and time. They blessed me. The demons did nolt talk when I was in church. In eighteen months it went away. I learned my lesson. How that happened is my mom gets white dreams in which whatever she dreams it happens. I wanted that, and that is wrong. I tried to get it and did, but a horrible version of it. The lessong I learned is if God hasn't given it to you, don't ask for it.
Later, I was working with a guy who always knew when I was going to visit. After sprinking his whole house, he could no longer do that, and his healt improved. He was a street person with problems. One day I went over to his house. He told me of something I had done and said at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis. He only saw one event though. He saw the event outside of the church. With another woman that day before I came over to him, I had the almost identical conversation with a woman inside of the church. He didn't see that one, and the time separation was only 15 minutes or so.
A Scottish? (Someplace in England) priest was called in for a boat. The crew hated working on that one boat. Things always broke. The catches were bad and I think the men working on the boat just didn't feel right. The priest goes and he said because it was so bad, he took 1/2 gallon of Holy Water and sprinkled every thing. Well the boat was fine after that, nothing abnormal broke, the men felt fine, and the catches were normal. The new picked this up in America. I watched the whole thing on American TV, years and years ago.
The man who always knew when I was coming over, was more brilliant drunk than sober, and what he said was horrible to everyone. I asked the lady who owned the house if I couild sprinkle it. She wanted me too. I asked him also as he live there, otherwise I would have not sprinkled the room he lived in. He was a renter of sorts. She gave him a room. He paid nothing.
He has never been brilliant while drunk again.
Some people from time to time have heard that God has talked to me, and it is so. I have taken what I am about to say to you, to the priests and they had a person at the time who confirmed It Is and Was God, and no one else. So, I can talk about this.
One day a man hears that God The Father had talked to me. He wanted to know what He said. It was this and it was for the man, I was talking to, not for me, and not that I also did not get a message out of this from God, for something else.
The man in front of me, had seen Jesus one day. I asked the man what he knew about God. He was way off. I then decided to help him out. I cannot tell you why this was granted for sure for me, it just was. To God: "I want the day when he saw Jesus" (Yes I said this internally.) A day, a year, a month came. I was uncertain. I asked again in faith this time that God would give it to me, feeling every bit heretical and sacrilgious and arrogant also possibly. The day, the month, the year came and now my vocal cords are saying the words. I don't know how that happened.
It was too much for the man. He kept thinking I was demonized or something. He asked me, I told him sometimes, and I do mean that, it is only sometimes and I never know when and for whom I will be given something, but sometimes I am conneceted to God in that way. That also was confirmed by The Catholic Church.
Now. God The Father told me to tell him this: "Your next step is to go to The Roman Catholic Church..." He had me say it twice. I called the man/boy up three weeks later and asked him what I had said that night. So, he was reminded twice that God The Father was guiding him and asking him to be a Catholic so he could understand God better, because they have the most information on God.
Notice no condemnations there, no asking to see animals, nothing like that. Just, for you Jason, (that was his name. Look to the Catholics)
Normally when the demons are restless, holy water works. Normally"I cast you out in the name of Jesus Christ works" I have to say that from my heart, usually but that is me. I have used it up to twice on tough cases.
A brown scapular is wonderful. Saying the Rosary daily helps. Yet, those guys sound like people to ignore, God does not work that way.
I have used and do use, a scapular. I also once in a while burn holy palm leaves, to smoke each room after holy water, although holy water is enough normally, but I do a lot of this stuff. Making places holy with Holy Water and the bad guys don't like me very much. So, maybe that is why God asks me in His Own Ways to also burn palm leaves from time to time.
Yes, you have been asked to go to a neurosurgeon. He might find your issue is that. Mine is not, and holy water really realy works.
LOVE,
...Mary., .... .

Yes, these meds do have side effects, unfortunately. The first thing you need to do is go back to the doctor who prescribed them and let him know what's up. He will likely adjust the dosage or switch you to something else. It may be frustrating for you, but it is a trial and error process to find the right medications. Don't give up. In the end, you will likely have to put up with at least some side effects -- you must weigh in your mind the balance; which is worse, the side effects, or the paranoia?

NO YOU ARE NOT CRAZY. Everyone has times in their life that they need a little help.

Actually they can read minds! I don't know how...even when I seem to notice or try to guess what someone is thinking I have a road block of impossiblility. Maybe this is respect. I don't like it much, but I notice only certain people do it, normally Latinos or whites! I do however experience supernatural experiences elsewhere...but this is something I just don't get! Maybe it's the city of Angels' whatever! It's either that, or your soul and/or universe is coming to you. (Could be God?)

NO you should NOT go take their advice and look for a shark!
This makes NO sense whatsoever.
Just open up your bible and start reading, and don't stop.
Read the Bible, starting with Romans, and pray to God.
If you go to ANYONE at all, go to a normal local pastor or priest.
Stop going to Shaman, witch doctors etc.
You're just going to have more problems.
No one can read your mind, but the devil can
use people to make it SEEM like they are.

No one is reading your mind, and you should stay completely
away from anyone who claims to.

Please read read read the Bible and also ask for prayer here in the prayer forum!

When I was about 5-6, some men came to our house and lined us up outside to go inside to meet someone (a capo or captain, I think). He claimed to no what I was thinking which is the definition of mind reading. I started to hear voices after I left the room, which sounded like they were inside my head. the proceeded to read my thoughts back too me. So I believe the technology exists to know what people are thinking. Didn't Jesus also claim to know what people were thinking? I believe you might be a victim of mindreading too, but if you don't hear the voices telling you what your thinking I can't be certain. My voices are from many people some wishing me luck others insulting me, its like an anchor. I have gained weight because I rarely go out or exercise because I don't subscribe to the self-humiliation that voices can make you feel whereever you are. Best of luck.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:11, 1984 NIV)

No one can read your mind. However, angels and demons can perceive your spirit, and humans can have some ability to perceive your spirit.

God only gives spiritual gifts for the benefit of helping each other.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. (1 Corinthians 12:7, 1984 NIV)

If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified. (1 Corinthians 14:16-17, 1984 NIV)

But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue. Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. (1 Corinthians 14:19-20, 1984 NIV)

seeing or predicting the future.

There's main differences between the psychic stuff and Godly information including The Source of the information and the purpose. Here's a few Biblical examples:
1- Saul/Paul and Ananias both have a vision about each other in Acts 9;9-19 especially v 10-12;
2- "And one of them stood up, named Agabus, and indicated by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (which took place in the days of Claudius)." Acts 11:28;
3- "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" Isa 9:6

Everything Yahweh does has a purpose.
