What does lower hades and upper hades mean?

Lower and upper hades comes from Greek mythology. The word, hades, is used in the Bible but it's in refeerence to hell, which is the grave and not an eternal place of burning and pain. We have attatched the belief of hell being a place of pain and eternal burning to the word hades through misinterpreting Scripture for the purpose of control through fear or by mixing Greek mythology with the Christian faith.
