This has NOTHING to do with the thread's topic: What does the Bible really say? If you want to talk about nutritution please take it somewhere else. Thanks.
You seem to be missing a lot of what the Bible does say,
and not understanding how evil people are (most people are absolutely NOT HONEST according to God's Own Word).
The question is: how does one apply appropriate exegesis of parts of the Bible to the modern world, social situations, personal privacy, and any other issue that you can think of?
THAT quote IS THE OP. Don't get mad or upset that other people see things from God's Word that you didn't see before. This happens every day. New and Fresh Revelation.
God IS NOT DEAD. (although most of the population of the world rejects Him).
If you become like a naive, trusting little child you won't last very long.
If you don't become as a little child, Jesus says:
Matthew 18:3
Parallel Verses
New International Version
And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

New Living Translation
Then he said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Greatest in the Kingdom
…2Jesus called a little child to stand among them. 3“Truly I tell you, He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.…

We are to mold our understanding to God's Word and not try to mold God's Word to fit the culture.
Amein. ESCAPE THIS EVIL GENERATION, not conform to it.(NEVER TRUST IT!)
Many lies have been promoted(and leaglized) "as the truth". (and the truth is called "a lie").
So,in the world,in society,in the untied states as it is, (politically, socially, medically, educationally, etc)
telling the TRUTH is NOT POPULAR, often not legal, not permitted,
not accepted, and not welcome,
same as Jesus.

In all my experience, most people are truthful.
Not if you've met people in the world. (breathing, walking, talking people)
Scripture says most are anything except truthful.
Likewise, they continually confirm this, often without any blushing or shame.

Everyone, please, please do your best to not lift verses out of the context in which they were written and misapply them to today's world. That is simply using God's word to bolster your own preconceived ideas.
Maybe it's not THEIR ideas that are preconceived? eh?
That's why discussion/ debate/ iron sharpening iron/ REVELATION FROM GOD

is needed.

If God loves the whole world and I am God's servant, then I too should love the world. Of all the Old Covenant Law, Jesus emphasized loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and loving your neighbor as yourself. If you see people as evil, deceitful, dishonest, etc. then you cannot love them. Why did thousands of people, none of whom were saved, follow Jesus? Because he condemned them and judged them as evil? Their sins were not foremost in Jesus' eyes, they were.

New and fresh revelations aren't necessarily accurate. People read all kinds of erroneous things in the Bible, then claim them as new revelations of truth. If they have a forceful personality they even starts cults. Every revelation needs to be tested and compared to the rest of God's word, which is my basic point. It's very easy to say that an out-of-context quotation reveals a new truth, but when viewed in light of all of scripture, it very often is just nonsense. The Pharisees and Sadducees were experts at doing that, and Jesus harshly criticized them for doing so.

Regarding "little children", to whom was Jesus speaking? Not to believers. He was telling people that to enter the kingdom of God (which believers are already in) that they must throw off their intellectual cynicism and doubt and be as trusting and loving as little children. He was instructing the lost sheep how to enter the sheepfold and be kept safe by the shepherd. That has NOTHING to do with our judging the behavior of other adults.

You said "Don't get mad or upset that other people see things from God's Word that you didn't see before. This happens every day. New and Fresh Revelation." Perhaps you've forgotten what's in 2 Peter? It says "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories." If the new revelations don't conform to God's word (not to some out-of-context verse or two) then you'll be taken in, just like little children believe cartoons and fairy tales.

Again, the best solution to new revelations is to ask yourself, "What does the Bible really say?"

A single example: in a thread about the legality of abortion in 21st Century United States, the poster quoted Acts 5:29: "We must obey God rather than people". The situation described by Luke was when the apostles were told by the Sanhedrin that they must stop preaching about Jesus. In other words, the issue was freedom of speech, and the apostles were saying that they were compelled to tell the truth about Christ. This has absolutely nothing to do with obeying the decision of the Supreme Court regarding a woman's right to an abortion. Paul wrote to the church in Rome that they were clearly to obey the governmental authorities, which had been established by God. This has much more universal application throughout time than a single, out-of-context half-verse.

Context, just like anything else in exegesis, can be taken too far. Just because the context is freedom to preach the gospel doesn't mean the application is restricted to only freedom of speech. The general principle drawn from this passage is that the believers refused to obey the governing authorities because they (the authorities) decreed a law which is against God's revealed will. The verse is perfectly applicable to abortion. We must heed Romans 13, but in the event the government decrees something which is against the revealed will of God (such as the exercise of abortion in any capacity), we are encouraged and relieved by the presence of this verse (Acts 5:29) to refuse to obey the government.

Look at Shadrack, Meshach and Abendigo. They refused to bow down to the false idol as the king commanded. However, they did not stop the people bowing down from doing so.

I believe we should apply the same thing to abortions. We know that abortion is wrong and as Christians should not do it (If you don't believe abortions are wrong then I'm not addressing you). We should denounce it but since we are to live in the world, not a part of it, it is not our job to judge those outside the church.

As Paul says in 1 Corinthians
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth.

We should denounce abortion, if people in our congregation are having abortions I believe it is right to remove them from our congregation, but outside the church we let the dead bury the dead, that is the world's affair not ours.
