Have God communicated with you like how you communicate with your human friends? If not you are like I said just guided by the contents of the bible.
God will communicate with you better than with friends. He will help you find out how to love. But talking is not enough to do this. There is all we need for God to do in us, in our character so we become able to love.

A person first needs to trust Jesus for salvation and all that Jesus wants to do with the person.

And God is quiet. But we miss His communication, by being noisy in lusts and doubts and unforgiveness and arguing and complaining and worry.

Yes cults start like this and then they ask for money or something.
And you love to go on and on about cults.
And we've yet to see you put two consecutive sentences together
that contribute anything worth much in any spiritually edifying way.

So make sure your next twenty posts have ample dosages of anxiety, suspicion, and skepticism about cults -
a one note piano.

Hi,

They say personal relationship with God or Jesus.
What does this mean ?

I do understand as human we need a standard to evaluate ourselfs our deeds our thoughts. The bible, God is our standard.
If we dont adopt God's standard, fornication, homosexuality would be ok so long all parties consented.

They say personal relationship with God Jesus, thing is God has never really spoken to me or manifested himself to me, that is if I critically analyse the cases.
What I define a personal relationship is, is like a relationship with a real human, u talk to him, he talks to you, we discuss stuff etc. Thing is this type of communication seems not to happen with God.

Some claim they hear the voice of God but I do have my doubts on critical analysis, ofc I am not gonna be a jerk to disprove him, we can always discuss and analysis together, but not gonna do that, it is impolite, imo.
Thing is some are con man, they say I can hear God, you not, so I am more spiritual than you etc.

I do try to use the bible to evalaute myself, but this is being guided by the bible, not really a personal relationship with God or Jesus.

I do pray when I sin, I do pray for stuff like healing, provision, but prayer seems one directional information transfer, me to God, never have I experience information transfer God to me.

Br,
Our experiences will vary. Personally, I find my conscience cooperating with the Lord’s commandments in daily living is my primary personal relationship. See John 14:15-18, 1 Timothy 1:5, Romans 13:8-10 etc.

Believe me, I have plenty of issues and frequently need to examine myself like as per 1 John 1:5-10 etc.

For my experience, yes it is very basic living. I take it as the Spirit guiding my conscience to instinctively ( as much as possible) think & act by the Lord’s commandments. For practical purposes, I put the golden rule first ( Matthew 7:12, & understanding Matthew 7:1-12) and use the Lord’s great commandments ( Matthew 22:36-40) as my motivation.

My basic living expression of this is to try to practice basic charity and prayer as the Lord tells us in Matthew 6:1-13. So far ( many years) I have not been much of an evangelist but we should at least have evangelism in our prayer ( Matthew 9:36-38).

Like I said, our situations vary and I have my issues and remember what the Lord told us about the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14. I’m not a marshmallow either though.

There are great explanations on here. I can't explain as eloquently as some have on this subject. Benny Hinn wrote a book titled "Good Morning, Holy Spirit." His evidence of God indwelling him and having a relationship with Him was the experience of God's presence in his body, akin to an electrical shock. That is my experience, which is unique to me and not necessarily something anyone else will experience. So, please DO NOT think I am stating that is the only way to know you have a personal relationship with God. I know the moment I wake up I am aware of His presence; when I pray, I am aware of His presence. It is warm, it is comforting, it "tingles." When I move in a way not especially kind, when I think ungodly thoughts, when I speak inappropriately, I get a corrections in my spirit alerting me that I am moving in a direction God doesn't approve of and I repent. There are times I feel as though my body/mind/spirit has been invaded by something other than myself. Quite frankly, it at times feels like I am encased in my own little bubble. While amazed at those times, I nevertheless heartily welcome those times. I often get advice, being nudged this way or that. All this comes from constant prayer and worship, praise and thankfulness and staying as mindful as I can that I am no longer my own. On the days I don't pray because I am "rushed," I feel rather "dry," as though a part of me is missing. These are just my experiences and again, not indicative of what someone else will experience. As I said, THEY ARE UNIQUE TO ME and if someone else never experienced this, then it is not your experience. If you keep pushing forward to know Him, God will by all means cause you to come into a personal relationship with Him.
